He was the first LCI that posted here. He might not necessarily be the first and only one with an LCI that is lurking around these forums.

After browsing the ETK las night, I feel more confident that the F8x MY2016 cars will not have the sliding cup holder cover. The trim piece that supports the cover is unique to the F8x cars due to the knee cushion. And there are no updates to this piece reflective of 07.2015 change. By contrast, there is a part number change for the little tray forward of the cup holders, so it's not a case of the ETK not being current.

Part number 5 in this diagram is new. Basically the "little" tray forward of the cup holders is different now. Maybe a bit more shallow, but wider to cover the 12V aux port, as I think it moved to the actual cup holder section. Don't spill some liquid in there!

Tail lights for 340i and MY2016 F80 are the exact same.

What you missed is that the F30, upon which the F80 is based, has been in production since the start of 2012, so this is the standard and proper LCI 3.5 years into the seven year production run for the car. M cars always trail the release of the series model they borrow from, but they nevertheless end production at the same time as those models, which means they are unfortunately burdened with a shorter overall run (less than seven years). Sometimes the M car trails far enough behind that its introduction only precedes the series car's midlife facelift by a short time. That is what has happened here (just as we've been predicting and advertising it would for years now).

Furthermore, you also missed the fact that, as far as external changes are concerned, the M3 typically only gets the upgraded tail lights from the series LCI, so the changes will naturally seem minor compared to the new 3.

Has it been confirmed if the 2016 update allows for installing a roof rack on the CF roof, or has that flaw still not been addressed?

OP if possible can you flip up the little covers on the roof where the roof rack would attached and take a picture to confirm?
