I had not heard anything from David regarding any bulletin on a comp pkg. I think he would have told me the moment he read it. I did just shoot him a buzz though asking him to let me know. Its a little early (4am) right now but he will shoot me abuzz back this morning and ill report back with the official report.
Side note I had heard rumors that the comp pkg was being released in 2016 for the 2017 models, but as of now there is nothing official from BMW that I have seen or heard about form David or any of our staff. If anyone would or will know it will be David Aviles. Ill post back later this morning when I hear back!

No official info on this yet. They might start offering it from MY2017.

Scott said early 2016. March would fit his statement.

At this point, I'd just enjoy your beautiful MGM and wait for MY17, only a couple of months longer than March ![]()

Has bmw done this in the past where they have introduced new options within the same Model Year? I can understand ZCP as a MY17 option but crazy for it to be a MY16 option.

A very recent example would be the M Performance exhaust. It became an option here in canada for $4900 this April.

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1082153 (An astute reader might point out that the F48 X1 information in this document turned out to be a bag of lies, but that's a rare exception to what is usually a very accurate list of dates/models) At any rate, we love getting inside information here on Bimmerpost, so certainly any contributions along those lines are appreciated. That being said, as with anything else on the internet from unverified sources, I'm sure you can understand the skepticism one tends to receive when posting such claims. From where I sit, I would advise skeptics not to bet against March 2016. Signs have been pointing that way for a few months now. I fully expect details should be forthcoming shortly. |

Side query.
Let's say there is an announcement for ZCP in March 2016 (or any other time "early" in the year). Would BMW typically also make minor changes to the other packages/options for the existing MY2016 model? Or just add ZCP to list and that's it? Thanks! |
