M3 is on order, but as of now my DD is a '13 G37X sedan. That will be going back to Infiniti before my F80 arrives so the DD will be either the wifes '14 Subaru Forester XT or my prior DD an 05 Civic sedan. I'm targeting 7-8k miles a year on my M but I'm sure after year 2 that will be blown out of the water.

And please don't say DD the M4. Yes I know you can DD the M3/4 and I think that's great, I did it myself with my E92 M3 but I live in the city and have had to deal with tire blowouts, bent wheels, scuffs, scrapes, curb rash, broken side mirrors, people throwing up on the car, etc and I don't want to deal with it again with the M4. I also drive around quite a bit for work, sometimes up to 100 miles a day, so keeping the miles low would be an added advantage.
Priusssss! They call me Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I also commute 110 mi. a day.

daily is a 335i xdrive, m3 is more than capable of being a daily as others have stated, but i'd rather keep mine off the salty snowy roads in NJ winters. OP gave plenty of reasons as to why he doesn't want to DD it and based on what he said he experienced with his last M i dont blame him haha

I bought a QX56 in 2013 and thought it would be my DD. Turns out those things are big and heavy (but surprisingly, not slow). So I went with my F82 and take out the Robotic Rhino when weather calls or I need to transport more than a few people. I would 100% have traded it in for the BMW but my wife likes it and its easy to take the kids around in.

So it sits waiting for rainy days or family road trips.
