Low and mid rpm shifts feels similar to CS Thor Flash. High rpm shifts feels significantly better than CS. 3rd to 2nd gear downshift jerk on CS is still there. XHP stage 3 eliminates that jerk. Plus can sleep better at night knowing my clutches are rated to 19 bar so can be more reliable in pushing down BM3 e30 ots torque

Ive only done 2 pulls so far with the S3 trans tune on my car, both were brief just to see how quick the gear changes were running out 2nd into 3rd. It feels quick, sharp, but smooth at the same time!

The biggest difference for me is the VERY quick and direct shifts just driving like a normal person. I have my M1 (usual drive mode) set as Sport engine, D2 trans and it drives excellent right now. Before it would be a long drawn out 1-2 shift leaving traffic lights, now its very quick and into the next gear, again, SMOOTH TOO!

While this was pretty costly, Im happy so far! I haven't played with tq punch or reduction yet. Just flashed S3 tune to the car with stock shift points active. I have your basic ass DP's, CP's, Charcoal delete w/filters, Single Mid, F80Paul Tune on the car. I commute 100 miles a day in the car so I strive to make it fun but still perfectly driveable.

I changed from stage 3 to stage 2 and like it in all the drive modes the best. I adjusted the shift map editor +15 down shifts on second gear and up. I went +20 up shifts on second gear and up. I find this to be a real joy and love this over the CS and GTS maps. The shifts are smoother and the car feels more lively and eager.

Having issues flashing OTS maps to S55. First time user, downloaded latest app, downloaded latest OTS maps, but it fails unexpectedly every time trying to flash OTS map. I can flash the stock map and do the full uninstall just fine. I am using a ENET cable with ethernet to USB-C adapter to a Galaxy S20+ and have the battery jumped to a running car. I have used this setup to successfully use and flash BM3 many times. I was using the BM3 GTS transmission flash but flashed back to stock thru BM3 before trying xHP. Waiting to hear from support on a solution but nothing so far. Is anyone using this that has a BM3 ECU tune? Any issues flashing like me? What connections are you guys using to flash?

Flash failure has been slowly trending, as I experienced this issue on Friday evening. Spent 4+ hours testing various flash options using two different media cables (K+DCAN to USB-C and ENET>Ethernet>USB-C OTG). The [Send Logs] option would also error out on a Note 20 Ultra device, as well as, on a brand new (opened just for xHP) Galaxy tablet that was freshly updated to Android 10.

Sending logs manually doesn't help much since they're encrypted. However, their Support team was able to push an update later on Saturday, and I was able to flash successfully yesterday evening. I strongly recommend getting in contact with their Support team if you're still experiencing issues.

Some troubleshooting notes to help others:

1. K+DCAN to USB-C prototype cable failed to flash

Verified working with MHD

2. ENET>Ethernet adapter>USB-C OTG adapter failed to flash

Verified working with BM3

3. xHP full uninstall works fine; needed to clear the TCU safe mode/trans malfunction

4. BM3 DCT flash to stock also works to get the TCU out of safe mode/trans malfunction

5. [Skip Flash Prerequisites] option does not make a difference

6. Airplane mode enabled or disabled does not make a difference

7. When the [Send Logs] option returned an error, both Stock Map and OTS Maps Pack download worked with xHP.

8. Uninstalling/Reinstalling xHP app did not help

Yeah, sounds like exactly the same thing. I tried uninstalling the app and doing the latest app version pushed out on Saturday, still no good. Support hasn't sent a response since Saturday.

Send them a follow up. I sent them an email at 2 AM PT Saturday, and got a response by 6 AM. I went back and forth with their Support rep for a bit, which I thought was quite impressive considering it was the weekend.

I did on Saturday and got an email back but have since sent 2 responses and haven't heard anything. Maybe they take Sunday and Monday's off.

Updating my post. They recommended restarting my phone, somehow that worked. So far I am very impressed with this coming from a BM3 GTS flash. I love the ability to tweak settings.

Is XHP to the F8x like the equivalent of a custom TCU tune on the VW Golf R DQ250 DSG?

In messing with the shiftmap editor, what does D mode and S mode equal in the car? I would like to lower shift points when driving in D3.

I am guessing S mode is manual mode but how would making changes in that mode affect it if you are shifting manually anyways?

And if you make a change in D mode, does it affect D1, 2 and 3?

D= Drive
S= Sequential

If that helps

Anybody used this over the GTS flash you get as part of BM3?

Interested in any differences.

If going BM3 GTS Flash to XHP stage 3, it is an enormous difference = speechless

If going from Thor GTS or CS flash to XHP stage 3, it is a noticeable difference but not anything huge to blow your mind

Thor GTS is quite a big positive difference from BM3 GTS as well

I went from MHD GTS flash to stage 3 and then stage 2. Noticably smoother and now the wife likes to drive it. OEM wife did not like at all, GTS she would drive once and a while, and stage 2 she offered to trade cars permanently with me.

Bm3 recommends using CS map for 2019+ cars and GTS map for older ones. I don't know why they recommend this but is there any reco from xhp about this?

Just flash XHP stage 3 and forgot about the trash BM3 DCT flashes. No offence to PTF
