50th Anniv. Motorsports Logo/Roundels - ** Update **

*** Post Your Confirmed Part Numbers Here! ***

Doing a little Research @4:00am and came across a post on the subject in another forum.

So, I decided to compile the latest Info. I could find on the 50th Logo/Roundels:

There are probably [at least one with a rear camera (X series?) spritz] others and most of these will nonetheless be (omitted) consolidated as
production/release becomes finalized. Or, probably not?!? Too many variations. Uncharacteristic German inefficiency in design/application.

* 36125A57484 - 4x BMW 50th Anniv. Motorsport hub caps - (5 x 112 only)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've upgraded the post with a couple of links so you now have a viable source for some photos of the actual (backs of the) roundels.

fyi: I've got an "F8x" so, it's a little more focused towards that.

Very nice work...IND just posted the F82 M4 Roundels. Hoping IND will provide a custom painted option. The white might be replaced by black and dark blue to make it look great on all BMW exterior paint colors. No 5 x 120mm wheel center caps coming, so you have to go aftermarket or custom painted by IND to match your wheel finish. No floaters either, but IND will customize standard BMW emblem floaters.

A longer thread on the G80 M3 Forum.

Paddleshifterz has a lookup and they manually verified the retrofit to older E/F Platforms. They have a YT video with about 6 PNs, but are working on a comprehensive video of all PNs and fitments.

You have to see the rear mounting of each PN to see if it fits older E/F models. Sizes are 82mm (Hood) / 74mm (Trunk). The new 50th Anniversary Roundel mounting might be different than the standard BMW standard roundel mounting for your particular BMW model.

2 pin/no adhesive
2 pin/ adhesive
No pins/adhesive only

Cheers

I've been eyeing these. There is no center cap option so these are a no go until then.

Yeah, Thanks!

IND has them. Imported directly from BMW, AG because dealers in the U.S. have no clue. They have not been officially released here!

Problem is IND doesn't post Part #'s, in order to corroborate as they are a bit pricier.

What's that, "look up" you mention? Could you post a link to it?

In the video you also mention, you can really only read the first part #. They don't focus on the rest of the boxes and there is no
application Info..

Cheers!

Only for the newer 5 x 112 wheel bolt pattern...

The Hub (opening) diameter would be smaller - 68mm, I believe.

Mine are on order...should have in a couple weeks.

I've been going back and forth on if I'm actually going to put them on though. Part of me thinks it's upbadging (like the competition logo under the M4) while the other part of me thinks the white on white would look sweet.

A roundel isn't up badging and neither is putting a competition under your M emblem as long as it actually is a Competition model.

So, If yours are, "on order" - what are the ("F82") Part #'s??

No. Not at all! This was the original ("///M") Motorsports logo. BMW re-issued these to celebrate 50 years of "BMW ///M".

So, as long as yours falls into the the following categories:

* An actual "///M" car ( - Not an "M Performance")
* Built within the last (+-) 50 years.

You're good to go!

If yours' isn't a "ZCP" then, yeah, adding the "Competition" badge logo is questionable.

Yeah - I fall into both M and Comp...just questioning my decisions. Felt similar in folks that tossed the supercharged logo in place of the V6T on the older Audi S4's when the new ones came out. Even thought of putting the old
AudiSport logo on the car...but didn't go through with it.

Needless, found them by size...didn't necessarily state it was for the F8x, so who knows what will show up. I saw them on a German BMW dealership page...and had the wife buy them for my b-day (she said she got them). Figure even if they had pins in the wrong place, or no pins...there's nothing I can't fix with a Dremel and some 3M tape.

We'll see...I'll post when they come in. It listed a 3 week ship to here.

BMW 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundel PN Decoder Ring for legacy BMW E/F Platforms. BMW only provides modern F/G-Platform Fitment details.

https://paddleshifterz.com/product-t...v=7516fd43adaa

Paddleshifterz is working on a Mega 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundel PN video.
The main thing it to view the rear mounting pins vs adhesive.

BMW F80, F82, F83 M3/M4 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels available at IND. See purple M4.
BMW F87 M2 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundel PN also available.

Because IND is importing the 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels direct from Germany, you have to pay the ///M Tax. +$20

The 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels only look good on white, black, red, and light blue ///M cars. For any other BMW exterior colors, you want to go custom painted or aftermarket. There are aftermarket 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels with the white replaced by black or dark blue and they look awesome. IND has a great paint shop, so we are hoping they can create something special.

See the Studie AG Blog (Japan) for photos on different legacy BMW E/F-Platform installed.

Most BMW wheels use a 5 x 120 mm bolt pattern, so BMW won't sell wheel center caps for Legacy E/F-Platforms. Go aftermarket or custom IND floating wheel center caps, depending on the wheel finish.

Don't forget the mini-PPF and ceramic coating. ECS Tuning has a round roundel film, but it is hard to apply over the domed 3D badge...use a hot hair dryer and gloves. Need GROMMETS for the 2 pins too.

A Mod is a Mod....Good for +5 HP.

The 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels have begun to hit BMW US warehouses as of the week of July 11th. Pre-orders from online retailers, like BMW Parts Pros are now shipping.

Paddleshifterz now has photos of the roundel rear mounting for many PNs, so you can double check Fitment for older E/F-Platform BMWs.

There won't be 50th Anniversary wheel center caps, so if you need everything to match, you will have to go aftermarket for 5 x 120mm bolt patterns. Add the steering wheel 50th Anniversary roundel. Some engine bay engine covers also have a BMW Roundel, so that would be a fun upgrade, if one of the hood/trunk emblems match that size. It would have to use an adhesive for mounted, versus 2 pins or metal tabs.

Fingers crossed that IND will begin experimenting with custom painted 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundels soon.

Cheers

I just picked up the CF from bimmer plug and installed over the weekend.

I was thinking these were full CF replacement ones but they are just covers.

I installed them but not sure I’m loving them enough to keep them.

Since you have a white F8X M3/M4, the OEM 50th Anniversary Roundels should look great. But there are no matching wheel center caps. So you have to go aftermarket. Add the air bag emblem.

IND makes carbon fiber standard BMW Roundels, even floaters. So that might look better than 50 Anniversary versions. Depends on your wheel finish.

BMW online retailers are starting to ship the 50th Anniversary roundels as of the week of July 11th. BMW Parts Pros, etc.

I just got my M4 Roundels in from IND - not sure that i'll get them installed today but at least within the next couple of days. I think they'll end up looking nice on mineral white.
