Swirls on Polished Portion of 666 Wheels

Anyone else notice a bunch of swirls on the polished portion of the 666s? Just started noticing this and was wondering what we can do to remedy. Would we be able use polish without affecting the painted sections around it?

Yep I've noticed the same. Haven't ever tried to polish. Maybe nevr dull? I have some of that for titanium exhausts, but am away from the car so can't be the guinea pig

Yeah I have a ton as well. I noticed them shortly after getting the car so seems like they scratch easily. Will try buffing them out when I swap in my winter set.

I have been trying to find someone else with this same issue for the longest time. Those swirls drive me insane.

Same here. Tried ceramic coating them and didn't help.

Yep me too. I have the silver 666 and the polished face has fine scratches and swirls.

Isn't this a part of the manufacturing process of the wheels? I thought the faces are diamond cut and that's just the texture left over at the end result of the process. If it's diamond cut, you're not going to be able to buff that out haha.

My understanding is they are machined and then clear coated.

What you are seeing is deep swirls in the clear coat.

They can't be polished out without a full cut back where a thin layer is removed.

Can you post pictures?

I'm seeing some very fine marks on mine but tough to see without looking closely in just the right light.

Wonder as some have suggested that there are some inherent marks on the machined surface under the clear coat?

I remember my E92 wheels had some very slight marks on the machined surfaces as well.

Yes but you need a CNC machine.

Can definitely be done but not with standard polishing tools.

Also note it can only be refinished a few times and will likely swirl again.
