Received and installed mine today. Overall the install was pretty easy. I did have to nip a plastic guide pin off each of the inner tail lamps in order for it to seat properly. And the passenger outer lamp needed rubber washers on the screw/posts to bump it out flush with the inner lamp. It's not a 100% OEM finish but it's reaaaaally close. For $650 ish, I'm not complaining! Here's a quick vid of the startup sequence. LOVE IT!!

Honestly pulled them out of my hardware drawer. They looked like hose washers but the hole was a smaller diameter. They were about 1/4" thick and compressed nicely. Just enough to make the two lamps flush.

Did you have to disconnect the battery? I've seen 4 videos, half of them disconnected and half didn't (or at least didn't mention it)

Even if it isn't mentioned, it is best practice to disconnect the negative terminal. Just don't lock yourself out of the trunk. Drop your seats and keep windows/doors open.

Buddy of mine wanted the blackline and I wanted the red... he has a black F82. Would be a hard choice with the glacier silver but the good news is you can't go wrong with either!

No, I didn't. Maybe I should have? But it was literally unplugging and plugging in a few connectors. Not splicing wires or anything. So I threw caution to the wind and just went for it.

No. You're just unplugging and plugging in connectors. No splicing required.

Now if I had to splice, yeah I'd disconnect the battery.

Install only took around 30mins and they needed a bit of help to line up. But great overall
