FYI guys, my wife handles insurance for all our cars. We have 3 with Geico and 1 with another. Removing my Porsche and adding the GTS (full coverage etc.) actually lowered it from $361 to $241/month so these cars are really cheap to insure. I was thinking it would go up.
Awesome! Of course, this is a 'your mileage may vary' kind of thing and depends on your age, gender, where you live, level of coverage, driving record, who else is on your policy, and in some cases your credit rating.

I dropped a '16 Focus RS from my insurance when I added my GTS alongside my Exige. I have a clean driving record and only drive about 6k miles per year in total across my cars and my insurance went up by over $1k/yr (about $3500/yr to insure an 07 Exige and 16 GTS in my part of LA).

I was pleasantly surprised by this too. I upgraded from an F10 550i and didn't notice much of a change to the insurance premiums.

Congrats on the car. You're going to love it.

Cooling off after some highway pulls, love this thing

Ride height is perfect so far, haven’t scraped once and that’s a minor miracle given the roads here.

The M4 GTS is cheaper than my Civic Type R was to insure. I couldn't believe it when I got my "new bill" after adding the GTS and removing the Type R and there was a refund.

I got the sense when i insured mine that there’s not a different table for ‘M4 GTS’ and ‘M4’. Which would make sense because there are too few GTS’s to get sufficient empirical risk data. Which works to our advantage!

Compared to mine it looks like your car has been dropped to track height. I guess that makes sense since you have camber plates in!

Awesome! One day would love to upgrade to a Porsche, any model. You have the best of both worlds.

Automatically in reverse, but have to turn them on when parking forward.

Gotcha, thanks. Wonder if there is a way to get this automatic for forward parking too, maybe a software update or something.

I kept thinking about this since you mentioned it and booked an appt today with Texas Track Works to adjust the suspension's ride height and dampers to "Public Road/Nürburgring" settings per the supplementary manual. Hopefully, it'll be even more compliant than it currently is and I'll worry even less about scraping.

Btw, if you guys ever do something like this shop around. I was quoted $800(!) by an M specialist in town. TTW is doing it for $300 and they are the go-to shop for local Porsche GT owners.

That is awesome. I will look them up. I think you're in the Dallas area but it's not that far of a drive.
