Sakhir or Silverstone ZCP M3 - Can't Decide - POLL!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Saw both at a cloudy day meet up and Silverstone wowed me- absolutely love it. Sakhir didn't on that day for some reason, but there is something special about it. While I love a great silver car there is something in me wanting to have a car with color and the only one I can even consider is Sakhir. I live in NY city so washing a car here is not easy and that is some of the draw to Silverstone, knowing that it will look clean for weeks. Have a black car now and it's alway dirty. What do you guys think? Please vote as this will most likely help me make my decision! Last edited by MonacoMurphy; 02-14-2016 at 11:15 AM.. |

Sakhir Orange is really good about not showing dirt.

In terms of look you can't go wrong here. The other question is whether you can live with the attention which SO will get. I personally like both colors, SO is more special of course, but here in Switzerland attention is not something that everyone wants, so I went with a less striking color.

This is simple. If you want extra attention EVERY day go with SO. If you want to move under the radar choose SS.
I think SO is a cool color but personally could not live with it everyday, so I picked SS. But I like to see other peoples SO and YMB cars.

I love SO on the coupe (M4), but for some reason it doesn't do it for me on the sedan. SS on the M3 looks amazing as it shows the line and aggressiveness of the car very well.
P.S. I'm not concern with the attention factor since I DD my YMB M3 |

IMHO, the key word here is 'cloudy'. Both colors, but particularly SO will look very, very different in bright sunlight. I have SO and on a cloudy day my car looks bronze, or copper - ish. On a sunny day the color totally changes to a very different shade of red. SO will never be boring! It's always changing, always a bit different. |

Deciding factor here is ZCP...with those wheels I think you have to go SO. The 666 just don't look good with lighter colors, IMO.

I have SO with full black and love it. I wouldn't trade it for YMB for anything

Have f80 SO/SS and love it. Think it looks good as f80 or f82. Looks great in sunlight and agree in cloudy weather looks red/copperish. Haven't noticed a huge amount of attention. Definitely more than silverstone would but certainly don't think it would be more attention grabbing than Austin yellow. My feeling is there are too many black, gray, white and silver cars. I think silverstone is beautiful and certainly has character and shows the lines well but a bit too boring for me.

I love SO, and would recommend it to anyone.
However, if you plan to pick a car color listening to a bunch of lunatics on internet, you are probably the type of a guy who wants to hide in the shadows with SS... or some shade of grey ... a

SO somehow doesn't look good in a sedan. M3 looks awesome in SSII ... shows all the right lines ... and that butt !! |

And I think it looks much better on the Sedan than on the coupe. That said, I think the Sedan looks better than the coupe overall, so that could be why. Always funny how some people think something looks good and others see something completely different.
