We have shipped quite a few kits to some serious track racers but in general they don't post review because they just paid full price.
The benefit of this kit is obvious, the best two piece rotors* bundled with Brembo calipers - Everything stays with stock configuration at such an affordable low price. *RB two piece rotors were voted by Corvette Z06 owners to have the most durable rotors. Best 2 pc light weight rotor for grand sport... http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...and-sport.html |

Is this only for fronts? No application for the rear? Also these seems to be direct replacement for CCB as well, what is the difference between these and iron ones?

Here is our brake replacement/upgrade offer for M3/M4.
http://www.racingbrake.com/category-s/7355.htm This complete Brembo/RB BBK is our most popular and valuable kit. 2 ea Brembo heavy duty 6 pot CCB gold calipers 2 ea Brembo heavy duty 4 pot CCB gold calipers 2 ea RB 380x36mm real track duty two piece rotors (replacing stock 380x30) 2 ea RB 380x28mm real track duty two piece rotors (replacing stock 370x28) Everything is stock - Calipers, pads, rotors with plenty of choice and low consumable replacement cost. The heaviest calipers ever offered by BMW, and RB developed this kit at lowest price ever in BMW history. Even these calipers are Brembo (our buy-out items from dealer), we still offer our guarantee to the performance of the calipers; including discount on rebuild components and/or components upgrade. |

Yes they are the same calipers.
You can deduct OE calipers from the package if you already have CCB brakes, however you will still need to swap to RB adaptor (front only) in order to install this down sized kit (from 400 to 380mm). This pair of RB adaptor remains in the kit even if you opt out the OE calipers. OE Adaptor: RB Adaptor: Click below link to see the option of deducting OE calipers. http://www.racingbrake.com/RB-Brake-...bmw-irp-04.htm Kits are ready to ship! CCB to iron conversion rotors is 3K. 2K is for standard iron brake replacement.
380x36/380x28mm RB/Brembo 6/4 pot BBK is a special kit only RB can put them together. Just think of the front rotor with track duty that can accommodate OE CCB pad with 77mm wide annulus, plus an adaptor set for the kit which, it definitely requires some knowledge and expertise to design and make the kit available. Those OE calipers are buy out items, we offer the caliper deduct as a convenience for customer's choice. Each RB brake kit is packaged and priced for its value and purpose, which I have yet to see if any other brake company can come up to similar offer/option. Have you (or anyone) ever compared this RB/Brembo kit to Stoptech 380/380mm kit or AP's 372mm kit? http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...4&postcount=11 |

Casting quality is determined by the hardness and strength test, and micro-structure analysis recommended by ASTM and SAE which we follow.
We only offer our brake kits as an option for those who would evaluate more on price and value than just the brand name. |

Just because you follow ASTM and SAE standards doesn't mean your rotors are free of flaws. Strength and micro-structure (checked using an SEM?) testing/analysis looks at only a very small sample of a casting. Do you perform these tests on every rotor casting or a "random" sample? |

This review on RB rotors for 335i more than 5 years ago detailing how the rotor was tested on hardness.
Why RacingBrake? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ht=racingbrake As far as we know this customer has not yet replaced his rotor rings yet. |

Comparison can be based on "Calipers" and "Rotors"
6 pot front Gold OE calipers are built specifically for BMW CCM brake system to sustain higher heat, while GT is Brembo's aftermarket touring kit. The calipers are not as heavy duty and the brake pad size is only about 1/2 of OE gold calipers. The rear 4 pot Gold and GT are very similar including brake pads. As to the rotors, Brembo GT rotors are same as it's previous F40 calipers in different sizes 330/355/380mm which we also offer replacement, and according to the feedback from customers who have used both original and RB replacement, RB consistently outperform Brembo's. Here is a most recent review by a Porsche 928 truck racer. RacingBrakes.com 2 piece rotor performance after one season http://rennlist.com/forums/racing-an...ne-season.htmlUnderstand Brembo has different grade of rotors so the test/review may not be quite the right comparison, but at least we just cited some discussions for your reference. Anyone wants to learn how RB rotors perform and durable can check some typical American muscle car forums such as Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, Charger/Challenger or some mid level track communities like WRX/STi/EVO that have been served by RB for over 15 years. |

Hi All -
We've used RacingBrake products in the past on our TOTAL 135i to win races in BMW Club Racing. We'll be using the RacingBrake 6-pot / 4-pot kit on the M4 we're building and we'll be updating our M4 car build (in the track forum) and providing a review of the kit from actual race conditions
