+1. Monitoring this as my lease is up in July. Fire Orange e90 M3 anyone? European Delivery indicated to me that the initial allocation of 4 Series will come out of dealer stock.

I'm assuming the same policy will apply to the M. Either way I'm going to Munich to pick up with GOLFFRR. The more the merrier. Lets top the recent 13,000 hp gathering of the F10 M5 at the Welt!!
Keep me in mind on this list to plan dates on same day. That would be awesome to go with a big group of Folks from the area cruising around Germany. Right now it's just me and best friend going cause my wife can't hang with my spirited driving.

I guess Ill wait until then LCI and ZCP then...because I don't want to order a car unseen. And that I want some individual stuff, so I guess I'll be ordering later.

If you are talking about our list make sure you contact David asap now and get on the list and put your deposit down (if you haven't already). If you are talking about another list I would highly suggest whatever list at whatever dealership you get on, that you put a deposit down and get some sort of confirmation. That is the ONLY way you most likely will lock in your order when the time comes.

As far as a big group on the first delivery date, yes that would be epic! and I am hoping schedule wise I can make it happen. I def am planning on getting one of the first M4 its just a matter of do I do ED or not. ED is def something I have on my bucket list

I've put a deposit down and Brie told me I'm number 11. Is there two separate lists for ED and US deliveries? Depending on what happens, I'd prefer to do a ED delivery and wanted to confirm as this thread got me thinking!

Can't wait!

Good luck with that. I was a confirmed NUMBER ONE on the M3 list Checa totally dropped the ball- seems she wasn't capable of working sales. Luckily Dave and Brie seem to be a far better pairing and I'm looking forward to ST'ing my F80 now I'm back on the list. Already sent a friend who bought a car from them last week and had a smooth experience.

^^We are very excited and happy to have David on board at Steve Thomas BMW. We do not wish ill will or talk negatively about past employees. Checa did a great job while she was employed and we wish her all the best As this process goes forward we have noticed a few hiccups but we are doing everything we can to figure it all out and get everyone hooked up the best we can.

thank you for your patience, understanding, and also for the referral much appreciated!!

Awesome! Good that you got your deposit in and you are on the list thats the first part of the puzzle. The second part will be the allocations and how many we get. The third part will be ED order coming out of US allocations or not. Once we know the 2nd and 3rd part we will have a much better position to give you and everyone more information.

If you want to do ED then you need to state to Brie or David now that you want to do ED. I am not sure how David is handling the list, he is the best in the business and this is his 3rd round of new M release so im sure he has a template he follows.

How do you guys handle out of state trade-ins? How much are the deposits that you guys are collecting to be put on the list?

Put my deposit down with my dealer for M4 Convertible ED, hope they have it ready before winter 2014, don't want to drive during winter time and be force to rent winter tires in Europe.

If I'm looking to do a mid to late September 2014 ED delivery time, will that be past the initial rush or will there likely still be a line?

We do not do out of state trade in unless you want to send your car over to us? we have had a couple people do this but personally it makes it tough for you the seller. I think it would make more sense to try and sell it yourself and then buy the new car from us when you are ready. Selling new cars out of state is no issue at all we do it on a regular basis as you know. Also as you know when you trade in your car your going to take sorta of a hit over if you just sold it yourself.

We are currently doing a $2000 dollar deposit and you have to put it down immediately to lock in your spot. The only reason we are charging that much is bc the demand is insane and it wouldn't be fair for the forum members who have paid the deposit. Everyone on our list has placed down the deposit so thats the best way for us to do it.

I may be wrong but I thought I read the rumor was the vert was being released a year after the M4 is released? if that is the case you could be a ways away.

I must say though that m4 vert looks stunning in those renders!

Yes. That is what I based my timing on. The ///M4 Cabrio will be a 2015 model. You should be able to take ED delivery in the summer. That is when I'm going to the Welt. Vegas is getting cars about 5-6 weeks after you drop them back off, which puts me in my ///M4 in October...unless I have a C7 Corvette before that.

Direct flights from SFO to MUC on Lufthansa for a Saturday-Saturday trip are about $1500. Would be worth it if able to save $8k-$9k.

I agree that makes financial sense, my M3 ED saved me around $6k. However you'll feel cheated if you leave so soon. Use your savings to upgrade to business class on Lufthansa, and enjoy yourself for a week in Munich. You won't regret it.

Planning to do ED on the 2016 M4 need to upgrade my "track skills" so maybe I wont be as afraid to push the car as I was when I did the ED on my '11 335xi.
