Rear Ticking Noise

Hey Guys,

Ive had a rotational ticking noise coming from the rear of my car for some time now with no luck figuring it out, while driving the other day I also noticed it corresponded with some type of noise coming from the center ( diff area presumably ) I notice it mostly at lower speeds, maybe under 30mph?

Has anyone had any such issues? curios on others thoughts or experiences.

Thanks!

Do you have CCB? Stones can get in between the dust shield and the rotor. There are aftermarket screens that can be installed on the dust shield to prevent this.

Is it the cow bell noise synonymous with BMW?

If so, it’s what Rcompound mentioned, rocks.

We have narrowed it down to 2 things,

1- aftermarket wheels, I dont remember the reasoning behind It when explained to me, but it made sense.

2- which is most likely the issue is a shim fix that bmw put a bulletin out for ( albeit for the front brakes ) will fix the rear issue.

will be getting those to fix it.

Thanks for feedback everyone!
