Tire fitment question

2017 M3 with 19x9.5 + 20 and 19x11 + 35, car is on swift springs. Anyone know if 275/35/19 and 295/35/19 will this work without rubbing? The car came with BC forged rims in this size.

Guaranteed to rub on the front due to diameter. The rears may or may not rub, depending on your suspension and alignment.

Thanks, you think they will rub even though I found one person who ran 19x9.5 ET22 with 275/35/19 with Eibachs without rubbing?

I’m sick of people doing these aggressive set ups and then telling other people they don’t rub. Sure it isn’t rubbing when driving straight and gingerly down the street. But a 275/35/19 will rub the fender liner when you turn the wheel full lock. It’s the diameter that’s too large.

I knew one guy who had a large diameter tire on his 3 series that rubbed. He lowered his tire pressure to 20 psi and then told people it doesn’t rub.

If you don’t consider touching the fender liner when you turn the wheel rubbing, then yeah sure, it’ll work just fine. Granted you can get over how ugly a 275/35/19 will look on a 19x9.5, have at it!

Thanks, the car I am buying this week has those off-sets, he had a narrow front tire 245/35/19 on the front and 275/35/19 on the back. I want to move the 275 to the front and buy 295s for the rear. I will go a different direction thanks to your advice.

I had to take a heat gun to my (now cracked) fender liner on a 275 setup to stop the rubbing.

There is still a very slight rub at full lock, but I’m going to wait a bit to see where I need to target.

It basically solved 95% of the rubbing issues.

You need to heat both ends (near the front radiator as well as the same location near the driver side door. Only the front driver side rubs for me.

I ran this exact setup but it didn’t rub when turning or hitting bumps with Eibach v1 springs, which aren’t overly aggressive

It’s due to the fact that I am running the G8x MPS4S Star Spec front tires. It’s tread width is actually thinner than the previous 265/35/19 PS4S tire I had

When I ran 265/35/19 on OEM wheels with a 10mm spacer (19x9 effective ET19), it rubbed slightly during turns. I was going to drop down to a 7.5mm spacer to alleviate this but they weren’t in stock at the time and I ended up switching wheels

2mm may make a difference as well as your tire make/model, and your springs

Go with the advice above and don’t force it to work
