Looking into a 2019 M4 and have a few questions

Hello,

New guy here looking into getting a 2019 M4. I have been reading around here and in other places and I get inconsistencies in what I'm looking for.

My first concern was the price of the car. Car has pretty much everything. Executive pkg, Comp Pkg, Carbon Fiber everything in and out. Without me even looking into getting this car, the offer they gave me, straight off the bat was $72,300, sticker says $85,560. Only M4 on the lot here. Felt like they were pushing this car into me so I didn't do anything and walked off. Are they trying to make room for something new?

The one thing I don't understand, carplay is a subscription? I seen it is either $80 and month or $300 a year. Which one?

I didn't walk off because the deal. Just seemed odd that they threw it at me within 5 minutes being there. I didn't even go there to look at the car. I was dropping my wife's car for cleaning. I also don't know the in and out of this cars. So I didn't want to make a purchase without doing my homework. Got till tomorrow to decided though. Felt like they were trying to get rid of that car so they can make room for something newer. That's what I'm wondering.

No, there is no new/better version on the way, however, MY2020 M4 production started this month, so that may be why they want to sell their remaining stock of MY2019 M4s.

From what I understand, it's $300 (one time charge) to activate Apple CarPlay. It's not an annual subscription.

A quick search on Autotrader and I see new 2019 M4s starting at $77K without the competition package.

The color combination is what made the wife point it out, Sapphire Black with Silver full leather interior.

what is tough about business , is to understand the psyche of people
if you offer an aggressive deal off the bat, people get scared
why do you care if they are moving the car for something newer
if you like the car and the price , then get it
the only question you should be asking is : with the 2020 around the corner is this a good discount on a 2019
the answer to that is
they are giving you 15.5 % off
you can order a 2020 for 6-8 % off
so you are getting another 7-8 % off for the model year being a 2019
so that seems good but you might be able to tweak it better
but this is one side of equation which is dealer price
the other big piece is current BMW offers for 2019 and 2020 models , and making a smart guess offers are better on 2019
so this is what you have to look at

I do like the car but I look at a lot of things other than performance. 90% of my driving is on 45 MPH zones. I like my tech in my cars. My current car has Carplay and I really enjoy having that (and the fact that is free). Shoot, one of the reason why I don't use my wife's X1 is because it doesn't have Carplay. Is it going to stop me from getting the M4? Probably not. Just getting some clarifications because the sales lady told me all I have to do is plug my phone in after I register with BMW Connect. I'm a cautious person and I just want to go there tomorrow with all my ducks in a row.

Okay. Finally was able to get on my desk top and have a chance to really look into this. So it does looks like it is free. Thanks M3PGH. What threw me off is the stickers says "Apple Carplay Compatibility". When I searched it on my phone, all I kept reading was how BMW is charge a subscription for the service.

Thanks for the help. I should have the car home by early afternoon tomorrow.
