CS front lip & removing front bumper belly pan extension
Hey,
Just had my shop install me a CS replica lip from RW Carbon and they had to remove the plastic covers in order to correctly fit the carbon lip to the bumper. Everything looks good except for the empty holes on both sides (marked with red circle on the photo). I was pretty sure this is the way the lip has been designed. Today, I compared my car with a real M4 CS and its genuine lip and noticed that it doesn't have these holes empty, but instead... has some kind of a rubber inside. Is there a different part that is exclusive to F82 CS that is installed along the lip at the factory? |

Thought I saw someone on here saying that those parts don't have to be removed in order to install the lip and the rubber flaps can just stay in place with the lip in front? You remove the screws in front, pull them down, put the lip on and they can get screwed back in place...
Like my avatar I may be full of Sh1t FWIW...I don't have one so don't know for sure, but have been researching extensively...I imagine the rubber things you are seeing are the stock rubber pieces in that area? Hopefully someone can chime in.

The side underpanels need to be trimmed for the mounting brackets. The center also gets trimmed for the vertical support.
On a rep I'm not sure as they most likely don't have the OEM mounting hardware. Either way I wouldn't be worried about the rubber flaps being there or not.

They trim the piece on the CS from the factory (or port, wherever they install the lip). I took mine off completely as opposed to trimming.
