Anyone else here not have access to a garage to store their car in?
I rent because Canadian real estate is a ponzi scheme and I just park my m4 in the driveway currently. I try to keep the car cover on it as much as I can for periods where I wont be driving it. Anyone else here in the same situation? Anything in particular you do? It always bothers me when I see it out there exposed to the elements

Yep. But I at least have a carport over it. Not much but better than nothing.
Other than what you already said? Nope. I'm building onto my house and will have a garage at that point but until then it's carport/car cover after washing for me. |

Mine used to be outside year around until I moved.
And I was in west texas. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count how many times I'd have to sprint outside with foam pads (and weights to hold said pads down) to shield it from hail and sandstorms. You'll be fine haha |

My E90 and F80 were parked outdoors for most of their time with me.
I worried about them constantly, but in the end, they did just fine. Now the time a fat chick door dinged my F80, that's another story… Last edited by _E90S65_; 06-09-2021 at 08:32 PM.. |

My wife picked a house that has a 1.95 car garage and since she got her Tesla my car spends most of the time in the driveway. It's black so I have to wash it pretty often. I try to keep it under shaded areas so the cf parts don't get damaged as much from the sun. Been using 303 protectant and other waxes to preserve the paint.

I own a modest SF Bay Area home so naturally it's a couple mil. I do not have a big enough garage to store the M3. Soon to get a car cover.
My last place was a condo and I did have a nice underground non-tandem garage there, but priorities have changed and the house is an upgrade in most every other way. Of course I wanted a 3 car garage but that would have meant a crap school district for my kids. |

I didn’t buy my m4 until I purchased my house and finished the garage. Had the opportunity while renting. Didn’t make sense for me to drop that money to leave it outside.

3 car garage, but last year I really had to make room for other things. Other cars in the garage are my R8 and my wife's car. Instead of driving myself crazy with the M3 parked outside, I sold it. Couldn't do it to such a well kept car, and my wife's car outside while 2 of my cars were inside was never an option
6 months later, I had the itch for another project car (R8 stays stock), so I picked up a 2020 STI that sits outside. It's still annoying, but I don't get worked up over it. I've learned to care less and just wash it more often when I get 3 or more consecutive days of sunshine in the forecast.
