AWD only accelerates better, but does not help in cornering or braking and 4-season tires are suboptimal in real winter conditions like we have here. I’ll have a set of performance winter tires on dedicated wheels for the winter, just as I’ve had on all my cars .

Yes, the RS6 is still in the works for my wife. She got a May production allocation confirmed back in February, however we were told in early May that it would get delayed to the fall due to the chip shortage. Although a bit disappointed, we were not completely unhappy, separating the delivery of the 2 new cars lets us enjoy each more thoroughly

Engaged in many conversations with you over the years about the f8x, and always was good convo regardless if we agreed fully or not. Happy for you and enjoy your upgrade!!
Crazy to see someone use their two M4s as designed (daily / track) and then upgrading/picking the next best thing for the same dual purpose job. Road trips + kids + work + track. Beautiful cars - I love the LRG CS (favorite out of the factory combo for the M4) but I'd be more than ok ditching that car for a 992... Please post your reviews of the 992, plus share track experiences here when you get it / have the time to review. |

Healthy debates where we get to learn from each other is what makes this forum such a great place. The M4cs was one great car and was really stunning . I’ll miss it for sure. Dual use is exactly what got me into the turbo, I love the concept of one car that does it all, but I do realize I’ll lose some practicality with the 911. The track review will come sooner than later, I am instructing at a HPDE event this weekend: delivery on Friday, track it on Saturday/Sunday

You could just take delivery and drive it straight to the track and start beating on it? No break in service required? Jealous of you for getting your 911. Looking forward to reading your track day review!

But I will be gentle with it on track, I'll short shift and wont aim for lap records on the first outing.

Elegant build. Thanks so much for your input to the forum over the past 6.5 years CanAutM3. Learned tons from you and appreciate your level head. Best of luck with the new epic beast. Hope you're out enjoying it right now. And pics or it didn't happen! Congrats. Like someone else said, end of an era, but start of a new one.

Hearty congrats on the new car. Thanks for all the helpful info over the years, most of which I have gleaned from lurking and reading your posts. We all know why you didn't op for the ceramic brakes. Lovely car, love the color. Congrats. Might be a bit selfish of me to hope you'll still stick around and continue to provide more helpful info at least for a while plus some comparison feedback. I hope I can make the jump to a 992 sometime soon too. Congrats again and enjoy.
BTW: Whats the best 911 forum out there? |

Awesome car! Congrats! I hope you stick around this forum.
I had a Turbo S for several years following my E46; then went to the F82. I may try a Porsche again. So tempting. Enjoy!
