Interested into getting the EC-7 in 19x9.5 +22 (or 19x10 +25) and 19x11 +44 in satin black.
Would 265/35 and 295/35 work? Rear is stock, front lowered on Eibach.

Looking for flush fitment; street driving only.

Can I get a quote on one of those set-ups?

We don't have any Group Buys planned for this chassis at the moment. Most of our wheels are back-ordered so that makes running large sales or Group Buys difficult!

These aren't F8X fitments, but here are some images of less aggressive setups. The black car is actually a 320 with M3 fenders from Thailand.

Hi Apex, I've looked through the flickr album and searched on google without much luck, but do you have any pics of EC7R in gold or black on a black f80? Or a EC7 on a black f80? Wanting buy a set for track use, love the plain silver color but I already have silver wheels and want to try something different. Thank you.

Hi the APEX Team and everyone, I'm considering a new set of APEX wheels and 200TW tires for the next track day season. My F80 M3 has CCB and is running KW Clubsport 2 Way suspension (see attached photos for the ride height). The car is running -3.1 and -2.2 camber front and rear, respectively. Both front and rear fender inner liners are having a lot of rubbing under heavy compression at the track. My concern is with the new setup will I have less or even more rubbing for track use (lapping days).

Current setup:
F: 19" x 9.5" ET22 | 265/35-19 Michelin Cup 2 (non-Star) | Overall Diameter: 26.3" | Tread Width: 9.3"
R: 20" x 10.5" ET34 | 285/30-20 Michelin Cup 2 (Star) | Overall Diameter: 26.8" | Tread Width: 10.3"

Target new setup:
F: 19" x 9.5" ET22 | 275/30-19 Falkens RT660 | Overall Diameter: 25.6" | Tread Width: 10.2"
R: 19" x 11" ET43 | 305/30-19 Falkens RT660 | Overall Diameter: 26.3" | Tread Width: 11.4"

While the target new setup is definitely wider, the overall diameters are smaller (and that the rear wheels have different offsets although wider).

Based on APEX's fitment guide, the target new setup is APEX's Staff Pick and is a direct fit meaning no modification is required. Moreover, my car is running (not a lot) more negative camber than is suggested as required by APEX. However, given the rubbing to the front and rear fender inner liners with my current setup, I wonder if I can expect less or more rubbing with the new setup if the ride height and camber angles remain unchanged. Your help or experience with a similar wheel and tire setup will be much appreciated.

Hi there, apologies for the slow reply. I just responded in more detail in our Flow Formed commercial thread. Essentially, the rubbing was likely due to too large of a rolling diameter front and rear along with a fairly low rear offset.

The new fitment mentioned in our recommended wheel and tire sizes should work just fine!

If you ever need to get in touch with us and we aren't quick to respond here, feel free to email expert@apexraceparts.com.

Happy New Year!

Hey Apex team-

I recently purchased, through Turner, the ARC-8 18x9.5 square set in Matte Bronze with 255/35R18 Blizzak WS90s for a winter setup. Unfortunately I came to realize that the front wheels don’t fit (many expletives involved).

I’m hoping that I can find a way to make these work, but would appreciate any insight you have. I already have a set of 12.5mm spacers on the way as well, which were bought for better aesthetics with the summer set up, could that be a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry that you're having some trouble getting your wheels to fit! What is the offset on the wheel and where is the rubbing occurring? Do you have any suspension modifications or all stock? Can you provide some pictures of the issue as well as the back mounting pad of the wheel if they're still off the car? Feel free to get in touch via email at support@apexraceparts.com if you prefer.

Thanks for responding so quickly, and happy to share publicly in case anyone else runs into this. The wheels are ET35, and also included a photo of the scraping on each wheel, the details from Turner, and a couple of pics on the car. It's a shallow scrape, only the paint or a little metal at most. The car has a stock suspension as well.

It looks like those wheels fit just fine. You just had some bad luck with a rock in between the caliper and wheel. I woulda went with 40 series for the winter on 18s, but to each his own.

Apologies for the slow reply, looks like we didn't get a notification. Unfortunately the 18x9.5" ET35 wheel is not recommended for this chassis. For the F8X up front or for a square winter setup, we recommend the 18x9.5" ET22 as the lower offset is a better fit. The scrape on the inner barrel is a result of insufficient barrel clearance. It looks like the clearance was just so tight that a small rock got in between and caused the scrape. This is not ideal and we do not recommend continuing to use this wheel.

For the 18" ARC-8 in particular, we recently revised the barrel design to increase clearance in the 18x10" ET25 and 18x9.5" ET22 sizes with the F8X 380mm steel brakes in mind. All of our other non ARC-8 models have cleared from the beginning in the recommended 18x9.5" ET22 and 18x10" ET25 size, but only our V2 ARC-8 in those two sizes can work up front with those brakes.

I apologize for any confusion around the wheel size ordered. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thinking about running our f80 in SCCA autocross street class and looking for a set of wheels that fit the ruleset (stock widths and offsets within 7mm of stock).

I saw up above (post #318) that there might be a VS-5RS in 18x10 +35 that I'm not seeing on your site? Or was that a typo and they're the +25 offset?

Hi there,

Thanks for catching that typo! Those wheels are indeed 18x10" ET25 and not ET35, as we do not offer a BMW 18x10" ET35 wheel in our catalog.
