Thanks! Nothing too crazy. Won't have them until sometime next year either. Just want/need something lighter that can fit wider tires.

What made you go with Ecutek/Bend over BM3?

Can't wait to see this thing with the new wheels and I'm sure in the near future ICONs and GTS/CS hood.
This dyno was on pump E85, which came in at ~E82.

Hmm, where do I start. Bend has been tuning with E85 for over 15 years. Their flex kit and integration IMO is the best option out there. Also included a second high speed OBDII connected to the FEM (increased data logging frequency). They had already tuned the Dorch lift kit/upgraded LPFP/EU5 injectors combo multiple times as well.

They were extremely knowledgeable and professional from the very first email exchange. We have probably exchanged hundreds of emails since and every response was within 24hrs. Their process with Ecutek is 100% custom in every way. No toggle on/off type settings for things like injectors. Log, upload new revision, repeat until everything is perfect. Logging and revisions at 10% E85 intervals up until full E85. Every aspect is well thought out.

Nice car!! Since I see that it is DCT I still think I have the only F82 Mint Green 6MT. Haven't found another yet in my research anyway.
Cheers to Mint Green!

IND. They will do custom color Carbonex latches and just about anything else too (see my engine bay pics).

Also have a few more small things I still need to install, but will probably just wait until spring.

Haha. We’ve had some bizarre weather lately, combined with typical rainy weekends. So it’s only been getting out on dry nights during the week.

I really need to make it out to Sunday C&C though once the weather starts getting better!

just love all the photos, and details included here...

I followed your signature from your post to check out more. What an EPIC build, congrats on such a fine machine. Truth be told I was struggling with where my car currently is and what my ultimate goal would be.

Not gonna lie, I'm about a 20whp difference with my PS2 HF turbo so I know how wonderful the car performs at this power level. Unfortunately I've had some bad luck with the car twice now I'm doing a full-on motorbuild. With that in mind I was thinking of going to larger turbos like the PS2+ or Kratos.

After reading several other post about bigger laggy turbos I then stumbled across your car and the "Sweet Spot," thread and thought it is just that a sweet spot. It was the early morning hours, but I said this build hits all my marks, great safe tuning, good DI fueling system and competent & effective turbo setup with good exhaust flow and a beautiful curve with loads of TQ down low.

Thanks for helping me reset my focus and realize it's not all about the highest numbers, but more so a complete car that hits all marks without sacrificing anything.

After reading through this great post be on the lookout for a similar build thread with my car and a back story that is heartbreaking, but hopefully as inspiring as your build is!

Many thanks! I’ll have to do a “real” photoshoot at some point after the new suspension and wheels/tires are on.

Would love to see a build post with your built motor! I plan to keep this car for a few years and I’d love to be able to turn everything up to 11/10, but there’s no shop local that can do a bottom end build.

Spring updates! I've officially owned the car for 1 year now. So naturally it was time for some maintenance and more mods.

Mods:
KW Clubsport 3 Ways
KW camber plates
Eisenmann exhaust
Wifi antenna (for CarPlay)
BMW Connected Drive

Coding:
Apple CarPlay
GTS steering
GTS rear diff
GTS MDM
EDC delete

Maintenance:
New spark plugs
Oil/filter change
New flex fuel filter
Alignment

Coming very soon:
New wheels
New tires
New center caps
New TPMS
New valve caps
New lugs

I know... I need pics. Finally turning spring here so hopefully I can get some soon.
