Question

So I see the adaptive suspension is now standard and not part of the ZCP. Anyone know if the seats and M colored seatbelts come, too? They aren’t listed in the Comp Pack features.

Adaptive has been standard for a few years now. The M Comp goodies and seatbelts are included in the package still, haven't been removed.

Anyone know what exactly has changed from the base model?

MY2018 base price = $68,700
MY2019 base price = $69,150

The only thing I've noticed is that apple car play is now pre-installed with a 1 year trial. Not sure if they're throwing that in for free (used to be a fixed $300 price) or if they sneaked in other standard features to warrant the $450 bump.

Other than Apple CarPlay being a subscription. I don't think anything has changed whatsoever to justify the bump other than they bump it every year. In like 10 years the M4 will be $100k haha

Actually - I see three differences comparing the pricing guides and based on my build this amounts to a nice price decrease. There are now three ‘18 options that are standard in ‘19:

Park Distance Control (-$750)
Active Driving Assistant (-$500)
Apple Car Play (-$300)

I had planned to include all 3 so that’s an $1,100 savings after netting out the base price increase.

Good catch. Although remember that Apple CarPlay is a subscription now after the first year.

True. But give me the integration with google maps and Waze that have been promised this fall with iOS 12 and I'm willing to pay (a little)...

No sport brakes from the M2 Comp on the '19 M4? Wow. Not standard or an option.

Why would they? They have carbon ceramic thats are offered for the M4.... and the steel brakes are just fine for the application.

Well, if that were the case BMW wouldn't have offered it as an option on the M2 Comp. Since it's an option for that car, I was guessing it would be standard on the '19 M4.

I think it is because the M2 "competition" is different than an M4. Not surprising that completely different models have different options. We're other people expecting the option for the M4? I wasn't.

They both have the same engine and drivetrain and suspension(mostly i guess). It's just smaller body style. So, you'd think a lot of it would be shared. Therefore, since it's available for the M2, you'd imagine it would be for the M4.

But if that's the case, then then the cars with the Msport steering wheel should have M buttons, or if you have the open backed M seats the M2 should have it.... I can go on for days. But just because it shared the engine and drivetrain with a few bits that are also similar doesn't mean they should have the same options. Just look at MB. 8 cars share the M177/8 monster engine, but they often don't have the same options available for performance extras. Point being is that I personally don't see why the M4 should have a sport brake option that it doesn't need and has not needed just because the M2 does. Different cars for different segments. But like I said, if others expected the M4 to have this option, please chime in. Maybe I'm the only one not surprised.

I placed an order this weekend - hoping to have a build week in the next couple days. But it's individual exterior (tanzanite) and interior (amaro) so that's likely going to delay my timing unfortunately.

Put in the order 2 days after the price list came out. 1st allocation from the dealership. Scheduled for ED on 9/3. Build date is the last week of July.

I was in a local dealership a couple weeks ago. He said to get my M4 F83 with individual paint, I’d be looking at a November delivery date. Still trying to figure out if I want to wait for an individual color or just go get a 2018 and enjoy the car today.
