Hey Mac,

How did you get around the Headlight adjusting rod issue?

The SPL front control arm (Race) does not include it.

Have you had any binding issues? Looking forward to some feedback.

Not sure of those issues ? my shop didn?t mention anything about it.

Was supposed to run COTA, but Harvey got in the way of that. I?ll be at the track this weekend and will report back.

The E92 M3 had a street version that included the head light adjustment bar attached to it. The race version does not.

I only see the race version available for F82. I was wondering if they just supplied you one, or never fitted one? Or if they do have a street version for the F82 that has one already attached like the E92?

There are 8 at the rear of the car. If you go Dinan, they do the lower 4 rear adjustable toe links. (Get the eccentric lockout from SPL, its only $50)

You will then need the 4 upper. I will most likely get ground control for those. Dinan and Ground control have the rubber dust boots. Great for the street.

GC have all 8 rear in a set, but I like the Dinan ones better. Its a shame Dinan don't do all 8.

The front they double up, as 2nd listed just includes the Ecc.Lockout delete.

Then you need to decide if you will run either a monoball, or do SPL Full replacement, or there stock part with spherical bearing.

Hope that helps.

I think the monoball may be the most noticeable change as I can feel the road texture through the steering wheel now.

Car is in the shop now, getting revised SPL components. New parts are a new spacer setup for the front lower control arm as well as a revised bearing and spacer kit for the torsion arm. Supposedly better adjustability and longevity.

Will post pics of the updates when I get them.

Any reason you chose to do all of the arms/links before sways?

I'm not finding any issues with the stock sways when tuning the suspension.

Correction on this. It appears the revisions were only for installation issues. Nothing new other than that. I will have the car in the shop in a few weeks to address the lighting issue on the front control arm, which is just installing a spacer.

After a couple weekends on the new components I feel everything is just so much more precise. Turn in is razor sharp.

Yes, the rear of the car is garbage stock. The first mod should be the adjustable toe links. That really settles the car, and allows more tyre on the road, for more traction.

I'm still waiting on the Upper rear control arms from SPL. Its been 3 weeks.

aFe bars have been just as slow. But the Ground Control stuff was here in a week.

Looking at McVaughn’s photos posted on 1st page of this thread SPL driver side front arm has ball joint installed to mate up with OE headlight leveller.

Nice. I have full GC rears with SPL fronts and Dinan Mono Ball going in on Jan 2nd.

But that will only happen if it does not snow again ;-)

My GC rear arms were installed + Dinan front monorails as well as SPL Tie Rod Ends.

Everything feels more direct...if that makes sense and the steering feel is also improved.
NVH is minimally increased. The good part is I hear no additional noise from the helm joints.

Once the weather gets better here I will see how the handling is.

Pics to come

Do you know if your tech had to drop the rear subframe to remove the upper control arms? Tried to take mine off today but couldn't remove one of the bolts because the sway bar was in the way. TIA.

We got them off without removing the subframe. You have to disconnect the swayer on both sides and move to a position so that you can get the bolt of the arm out. It is a pita but we managed.
