Didn't know you could do a 30k/year lease. I guess you're just paying the $0.16/mile overage that you can buy before turn in? Still an extra $200/month on top of 15k/yr, but yeah, probably works out better.
Yep. You figured it out exactly.

Porsche definitely over charges compared to other brands, however obviously they can get away with it...

Did I mention that I want a porsche... lol

The driving experience isn't that much better than the M unless you're on a track, just my $0.02. They look a metric crapton cooler though with the aero kit. I enjoyed looking at my TTS as much as driving it The same goes with my Jeep.

Now I just need to find an '07-'08 (09 holds too much value still) TT that's Aqua Blue with the factory aero kit, CCB's, is manual, for around $75k... Ugh, freakin' unicorn. Will be nearly impossible. I'd do a white GT2 as well, but again... will be ridiculously difficult to find one for a decent price at this point in the economy.

I would probably have done an ED on my M4 BUT you can't do both an ED and have M-Perf accessories port installed. (I have about $14K of perf accessories being port installed on my M4).

So, if you do an ED, you can not have M-Performance accessories installed before delivery (at the POE or in Europe). However, you can have them installed at the dealer or do them yourself. I didn't want the dealer monkeying around with my car...

Also, the PDC does an amazing vehicle delivery/presentation/intro and you get half a day on their track! (Its free, but no discount like the ED) ...and you can still have m-perf acc port installed...

True...but you still end up paying more in the end AND no trip to Germany.

I feel better having my accessories installed at the port - and I'm willing to pay a bit more for it...

(I'm going to Germany in Oct anyway... Just not picking up my car there... 2 full Days on The Nurburgring in an M4 with BMW - WooHoo!)

No, I reached out before my ED but no classes. They offered me this year but the timing did not work out. They get the schedule out in like Feb for 2016 and she added me to the list for invites.

Take lots of pictures. That has to be awesome.

mine did. the only stipulation is that the I drive event expires in 90 days... you likely won't get your m3 built and delivered in that timeframe

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. There's no "schedule" (its once per year), there's no "she", and its by invitation only... This years invite went out in March.

Last year, we not only had two private days on the Ring with M4's, but BMW M also gave us 8 or 9 M3's and M4's to drive the 350 KM each way to the Ring from Munich. ..and all they asked was for us to wash them and fill them up when we bring them back to Munich! (We used a different set of M4's on the track). Its this type of thing which really fosters a lot of customer loyalty!

Did you get an invite and go last year (in August)? If so, then we know each other by more than just our forum identities! That would obviously be interesting wouldn't it?

Haha that would be a trip. No I was not their and maybe we are talking about 2 different events. I am referring to the 2 day m school they do at NORDSCHLEIFE. Basically same as US M school over there

http://www.bmw-drivingexperience.com...dschleife.html

Sounds like yours might be different and pretty sweet, do I have to agree with you in order to get invited...

EDIT: You are correct, mine is different and not even M school although its under the same group of products. I had not done much research since I knew it was not until next year but it looks like I need to do a little digging.

However, to imply that the BMW European Driving School's "Nordschliefe Driving Experience" is not an M-School or Driving School might be a bit of a disservice.

Perhaps the Germans are calling it a "Driving Experience" because of legal posturing. (Best not to suggest you will learn anything...)

Good point, I was just basing it on the description and the fact they are also including dinner, etc. Seems very different than the US version but very cool. I am going to see about getting into the S.Ca school next month while I wait to see about getting into a German version.

Thanks for all the info
