What QuickJack blocks work best for the F80? The short (1.5”) medium 3” or tall 4”? I just bought a QJ set without the blocks and need to order them

I use tallest coming with QJ (3", just verified by measurement)

Is everyone using the provided blocks, pinch weld kit or something like this with their quick jack:

I set those on the low profile flat blocks that come with the kit. Even only being lowered 1/2" - I can't get the larger block under the car. Then place the BMW jackpad on it.

Not to steal business from Turner/ECS...but amazon has 4 aluminum jackpads for $20. Don't really need a tuner part for this...and you don't see the logo under the car

FWIW - I use the shit out of my quickjacks though. Love this thing and feel much safer working under the car. Did need to put them sideways to pick up my friends X3M. Even with the extensions, it didn't reach.

First - THANK YOU! Very great full for all the help and advise on quick jacks.

I found a new set on OfferUp and pulled the trigger. Spent $1475 for the 5000 series. I got it all set up this afternoon and took approx 2hrs to fully bleed and test.

* a note that the bleeding process is a lot more messy than the install video alludes so be prepared.

Overall - stress free setup. I did have to go back around 2 times and torque up all the quick disconnects to stop some light weeping.

I’m beyond excited to test these out. First project will be fabspeed midpipe which will really get me under the car.

Question: what is everyone doing for additional safety measures on top of the height locks on the jacks? I’ve heard jackstands but would like to understand more about placement.

Here are some photos of the “Hungry Ghost” up on its maiden voyage. My garage is your typical LA “two car” garage.

Quickjack seems to be pretty solid vs ordinary jacks - the holding is actually an ordinary jack with a lock. All steel and 4 corner jack locks, no hydraulic unless you've pull it up.

I scored a BLX-5000 series on OfferUp about 40 miles away for $550. Guy had left the power unit under his carport, and the solenoid coil got wet and fried. A bit of troubleshooting and research on the new coil, $15 from eBay and it’s working like a champ now. Couldn’t be happier.
