FYI-There is a difference between standard Individual colors that are offered by BMW and listed on their site. When a client request a special individual color, one being not listed by BMW and are from other makes of cars, it takes drastically longer than your normal standard individual. It takes an additional 2 months minimal.

I ordered Tanzanite Blue Individual color and my confirmed production week got pushed back 2.5 months. So the delay can apply to any individual option, even the ones listed on the BMW website. I ordered in March and won't take delivery for another month.

Yes standard individual colors such as tanzanite or azurite ( I don't really consider those as individual colors ), which is listed on BMW USA is only $2k extra and only takes additional 2 months or so as you stated. Whereas non listed special individual colors such as signal green, grigio medio/telesto, imola red, hellrot red, santorini blue etc. ( given the requested color gets approved by BMW ) cost additionally $5k-$7k and take up to an additional 3-4 months.

Understood perfectly. I don't want others to think that an Individual color listed on the website might not delay the order long, but they can delay the order for months, such was my case. Only difference is cost, depending if the color has been done before or not.

The wait is so painful though, my wait is almost done, but to all the others checking in here, I don't envy you one bit! But once you get your car, the wait will be so worth it! Look forward to what Individual colors everyone is getting.

Yea I ordered a 17 but it was actually in early June and since Signal Green has been done before I didn't have any issues. Just go through David / Jimmy at Steve Thomas they are the best.

It only added 2 months when I ordered individual paint and upholstery. My allocation was from Dec 2015, with an original production date in January. I added Laguna Seca Blue paint and Laguna Seca Blue contrast stitching. The special order was put in with LSB paint but mistakenly had lt. blue stitching (a listed "individual" option), which pushed the production date to sometime in February. When the order was corrected to have LSB stitching, the production date was pushed out to March.

I'm sure you could do some individual things that would take longer, like a paint color that hasn't been done before and requires research, but the unlisted individual colors don't necessarily take more than a month.
