Top up DCT after cooler replacement?
Anyone on here serviced your DCT at home or even better, replaced the cooler?
I’m considering purchasing an upgraded DCT cooler and was wondering if it’s as easy as topping up the fluid after replacing the cooler like it would be on a typical transmission. I have a lot of mechanical experience on other platforms but very little on the F80/F82 so hopefully someone on here who has done this can chime in. My guess is you can just top up, run it a little around the block or so and the top it up again once it cools. Thanks in advance. |

Top up in the morning, start it for 1 minute, rev it at 2k for 1 minute then with engine running open screw, fill until it go out. This is a basic fill without ista. Of course first you need to run it once to 80 degrees C Because here thermostat will open and will fill radiator. Or you can try to fill somehow radiator before put in pipes. One more thing thermostat is mechanic, it can t be open with diag.

Did you end up doing it yourself? Was it hard on Jack stands? I have bought a mishimoto DCT cooler and want to change it myself
