M4 Sidemarker fitment
My black chrome OEM sidemarker M4 pieces are in bad shape and I bought an OEM set of gloss black OEM M4 sidemarkers.
To my surprise the fitment is different. I couldn't seem to get the new gloss black sidemarkers on my 2016 model year because the fitment tabs are in different locations where they would "snap in." Take a look at the below picture, with the black chrome on the top and the gloss black on the bottom. The tabs and placement are completely different. Not sure if this is a pre-LCI vs. LCI but I can't imagine BMW would change the tabs for LCI models. Has anyone ever dealt with this?

I'm pretty sure you're missing a piece that goes between the side grille and fender. It's a flat plastic piece shown on the top grille that's not installed on the bottom one. Just transfer it over.

Just remove the backing plate off the one that has it and put it on the new one.

Thanks so much everyone, appreciate it. Glad it's an easy swap and fix.
