Thanks for sharing. How are the brake lights compared with the oem's brightness? That's more important than the turn signals.

Speaking of coding, does anyone know the DIY coding to make the oled taillights stay on during day time with DLRs on?

The turn signal/blinker brightness issue needs to be resolves asap... I almost got rear ended today because they couldn't see me indicating. Also a few of my buddies driving behind me say they can barely see it flashing and when the brake light is on the blinker is non-existent.

I will upload some videos of it in direct sunlight soon to my youtube.

You can through the BimmerCode app.

In the main menu, go to "Rear Electronic Module" Under the "Daytime Running Light" section, change the outer and inner lights to active.

Wow! I'm assuming it's the red, not the blackline. Correct? I noticed that you bought them from Bayoptics. I'm wondering if VLAND is the manufacturer as well.

Does Abdul@mpowermotorsports.org have insights on this?

I thought Bmw drivers didn't use turn signal. Haha just kidding, are they all like that?

These taillights are becoming a pretty serious safety hazard. That's ridiculous because they are way too dim. A V3 needs to be in the works with the OE start up and a much brighter turn signal.

Sheesh, just bought a pair of vlands on Sunday. Anyone know if this issue has been found in the f82 version? From the vids I’ve seen (vlands on f82) blinkers look bright yellow on the red lights.

Here one I saw, and yes he’s in a parking structure, but it’s in the day time. Look how bright the blinkers are.

He's still inside... The dim turn signal issue on the red housing occurs when in direct sunlight as displayed by the videos previously posted

I'm confused as well. I have the v2 lights. Just pulled my car out into the direct sunlight and I can see the ORANGE/YELLOW blinker just fine.

A video would have helped. Do you have the red or blackline? Which was the manufacturer..Vland or another one?

I’m really not sure… Did you stand back 40 feet away or try to see the turn signals with sunglasses on too? Mine look orangish when not in heavy sunlight. Looking back at this thread, dim turn signals were only mentioned once before until recently, so I assume it’s been a non-issue for most. Try and capture a video so we can have more data points to gauge if the “dim” turn signals is a limited production issue or design issue.

Standing about 10' away, zoomed in a bit to get my plate out of the video.

To the eye, the orange is more visible than it is on the video. I walked out to 30' away and can still see the blinker.

Yes...where is Abdul???

.... and how might the blackline look in direct sunlight. I have to admit that the video (perhaps not to the eye) looks scary based on how dim it is on the red VLAND.

I've ordered through Abdul the red (possibly VLAND) on June, 30 and he's yet to respond when he's shipping them to me. But now, I'm getting cold feet!!
