Has anyone fitted this yet?

Can you share how this upgrade sounds and how easy the DSP tuning was, thx.

Here are more options you can try. However, the link you've shared is nice to fit with the luxurious model so far.

Any update from those who ordered? How big was the improvement?

So we finally got the amp in the mail yesterday. Will be some time before I have the chance to install it. It looks promising, and will be good to hear if someone else installed this ahead of me =)

It comes with 4 profiles, one is driver centric and the other also cares about the passenger. Then you have another setup for either stock speakers, or another setup for upgraded bavsound speakers.

I just watch the install video, doesn't seems super hard but I think it will take a good 1-2 hour. You do need to run new power to the amp and just a few trim pieces to remove and reinstall. I am thinking about adding an extra sub and dynamat the trunk, so it may take me even more time to get parts and stuff.

For me, very noticeable improvement over stock HK system, really crisp/clear sound. Didn’t really like the driver’s centric profile, felt like the audio was too focused on the front center channel, so went with profile 4 (multiseat). My only gripe is I like my music bass heavy, which does feel a bit lacking.

I’ve since ordered both the ghost subs and stage 1 speakers, trying to get the full experience.

I installed my new amp over a week ago. I already had the upgraded speakers and ghost subs, which I had in both my F30 and F80 (so about 7 years of experience with them.) Initial impressions - sound is clearer and more crisp with better bass. However, still needs a sub and amp in the trunk, I think. The driver-focused profile is definitely center-channel heavy and I'm not sure I like it. I may change it but what a pain to pull the trim back out to do so. That being said, the install took a few hours and drinks to get it all done, including un-installing the amp after I had hooked it up to power because I was stupid and didn't make sure the power cables were run under the trim near the battery. Don't make that mistake!! It may have had something to do with the aforementioned drinks, though End result - I'm happy I did it but it's expensive, and the plug-n-play harnesses make it worth the extra cash for me. I would not use the center channel profile if I did the install again and I still feel like it needs a sub to fill out the sound. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it.

Hey, sounds like your opinions on the amp are pretty similar to mine. In regards changing the profile, you can just pop off the plastic cover and feel back there with your hand. I was able to manipulate the switches this way even though they're ridiculously small (just need to think about the left/right orientation in reverse).

Did you, by chance, play with the EQ settings? I also thought bass was lacking, but I was able to get a level I liked by adjusting:
Bass +2
100Hz +5
200Hz +3

My concern was this seems to go against what they recommend in the install video (they say +/- 2-3 notches only), so I was going to try and give them a call after the holidays to get their opinion. The good news is its pretty straight forward piggybacking a trunk sub off the connections they provide.

it's good to hear some positive feedbacks =)
for some reason on the F30 forum, there's some complaint about the DSP card but I am not sure if they have the HK system (which uses the MOST adapter) or not.

I still haven't installed it yet, and already thinking about adding a subwoofer to it. Thinking about a 10" sub on the left rear corner (Visual ice sub box which is about $200 + shiping).

For those of you that add a sub, please share your experience. I don't need it to be super loud, just want clean bass notes, so thinking feeding a ~240W 4 Ohm to a 10" subwoofer. I have an old new stock amp that should fit in the trunk storage (under carpet) and hope that should be sufficient. Thinking about a Dayton audio 4" HF sub for ~ $170 (from parts express).

FYI, Bavsound is sending us Pro owners an updated tune card with new multiseat profiles. Sounds like they took into consideration the customer complaints on bass response and lack of power/dynamics at lower levels and adjusted accordingly.

Too bad the amp won't be available until end of the year now…

So far the feedback hasn't been all that great on this unit given the price.
