Place to buy F80 Battery?

My 2016/79k M3 threw a battery discharge warning today. Went out and drove around for an hour. Waiting till tomorrow to see if it comes back.

Pre-emptively looking around at batteries and trying to hunt down a place to buy a OEM replacement. Called BMW and they said they no longer sell them to customers and only do them through service center/their handy work. I can remove and code the battery myself.

Googling the part number only returned a few places. (61218047221) Some of them only allowing local pickup due to hazmat. $1615 (total shipped + fees) seemed to be the lowest I could find for a new battery that could ship.

Anyone know of a shop that has better pricing by chance?
Not interested in other batteries. Want direct replacement.

My local dealer has it for $1395 but looks like they don’t ship as well. You probably need to check if any dealers in your area has an online parts store.

Save some money and get an Antigravity Drop-in LiFePO4 Li- ion battery for BMWs. Last I checked they were around $900.

I bought one off eBay for $865.94 including shipping costs. Got lucky at 98% health per ISTA. Only bought it because the seller had pictures of the battery hooked up to a battery health capacity monitor thing that showed it was in perfect health.

If you can't find a good deal on a used one, definitely go the anti-gravity way. Remember the negative IBS cable.
