2016 F80 MG/SSII European Delivery Pics in the Alps
Picked her up on October 19th. Drove 1,725 miles in 2 weeks. Now the unbearable re-delivery wait starts.
My itinerary: Munich, Fussen, a little bit of Austria, Zurich, Lucern, Como lake, Milan, Portofino, Cannes, Aix en Provence, the Loire Valley and Paris. Enjoy the pics. Mostly from the first few days in Switzerland. If you do ED, just stick to the Alps, it's just too good. I might have to sell this one in 2 years just to do it again! Such an amazing experience. Such an amazing car. What a range of character, love having my quiet efficient mode setting on M1 and the all-in beast maniac Sport+ settings on M2. When you need the monster to roar, it's right there at your finger tips ready to punish the Michelins PSSs. Happy to answer any question you might have. It hurts me to see these pics and not have the car right now, but I know I gotta contribute back here after all the good stuff I learned here to purchase and then enjoy an amazing experience. Might have a few more to post later, but this is a good start.

Congrats on the car, and great pics!! Your color combo is the one I am leaning towards getting...love the stealth nature of the MG. Question for you, what was your first impression of the SS interior? Too light/white, or more light grey?

The SSII interior is very light, indeed almost white. It looks just perfect in my opinion. I was looking for something very bright so if that's what you're looking for you'll be pleased. It's basically very light but a more interesting time than pure white. It goes perfectly with MG. The leather quality is outstanding. I did not get a chance to see the interior until I got my car, so I was slightly anxious. But taking the 'risk' really paid off. Wouldn't pick any other interior.

Beautiful! And a nice long EuroDeliv! We would have loved to have included Paris, but that was a bit far. Next time! We were there right about the same time...arrived on the 12th, departed on the 21st.

Absolutely the nicest photos of a F80 Mineral Grey M3 that I have seen so far on this site. I should know, I just picked up my Mineral Grey M3 in Munich on 10/5, and I combed through the forums for months trying to find MG photos to help decide on the color. Your pictures are simply stunning. Congrats

Is not necessary an easy color to capture. I did what I could but I'm pretty happy about my iPhone 6S pics here. Somehow I didn't bring the SLR on the trip, but there will be higher quality pics once the car hits California!

I also got a MG/SS M3 and was very happy with the SS interior. The two tone and stone color looks incredible. It is not a pure white color, to me it looks like a light grey/off-white, and it matches the darker MG perfectly

Great pics! MG loves cloudy skies. I hope I get Michelins too.

I think the Contis were just a provisioning glitch. You're very likely IMHO to get Michelins as well.

Definitely you would need to check road conditions during that time to avoid any kind of snow as you'd basically be immediately put into an illegal situation with your sports tires. What I would highly recommend is that you contact BMW to request renting winter tires while you are there. They will swap your weeks right after ED and put them back when you drop it off. Extra benefit, you won't scratch your wheels as you learn how to deal with your brand new vehicle Hope this helps. |
