Adding a CF rear diffuser
Okay might be a dumb question but can just a rear diffuser be added? I love the look. Not a huge fan of the front splitter, dont want loose clearance or alter anything. Appears the rear diffuser is a OEM bolt on item.
Thoughts?

Yes, it is as simple as removing the factory one and installing any diffuser that you like.
Here is an install guide, we installed an RKP Carbon diffuser here.

It did not even take my shop even 5 minutes to install it lol . Oem cf diffuser looks good and no risks what so ever. chances are your exhaust tips will be lower than the lowest part of your cf diffuser fin so no clearance issues.. even if not the case go ahead and install it.

I just removed a mint condition OEM cf diffuser for a different one. It's a 5 minute install.
PM me if you're in the market |

So which CF diffuser will be a perfect fit AND allow for the trunk opening function? It's my wife's car and she is more interested in the trunk opening vs looks so appears that the OME CF diffuser is out.

Not concerned about installing it, just need to know which one will allow for the trunk sensors to still work.

Titan7, I am seeking info on a CF diffuser which will 100% not interfere with the boot opening function. I cannot seem to find one so far. Maybe it is something to do with the CF which interferes not sure. I have even read that the BME OEM CF one at times stops the boot opening function working.

So I have a line on a OEM CF diffuser, removing the four bolts does not scare me but is there a special way to remove and reinstall the diffuser, having never done it before I just don’t want to scratch something or break a tab or whatever. I saw the video but then read about several people having fit issues with the BMW OEM CF version and saying bolts don’t line up? Thoughts?
Thx
