Our RS6 delivery got delayed to the fall due to the chip shortage. My wife got a May production allocation in February, but in early May we were told it would be delayed to after the summer. While disapointed, we are not completely unhappy about this, as we found getting two new cars at almost the same time was a bit much and takes away some of the appreciation of each car. Something is still there to look forward to .

I think the A45S is a superb daily car and I love the styling but it's a lot less engine sound for the fun times. You can get some nice sound if you remove the OPF and change the catback but that would kill the engine and drivetrain warranty right there and then while also making the car "illegal" emission wise.

Tech and interior is great tho and their HUD and that long screen is something I've come to love.
I've not got experience with it, but someone told me their car rattles a lot and I've read the same on pistonheads recently, too. Sure is bling-bling enough as per usual with Merc. They do look nice in that yellow colour.

What about the new RS 3 though? One cylinder more so you'd not be driving a henry hoover.

Tell you what, though, nothing sounds as bad as the Megane RS. whistling, whooshing and farting noises all at once.

Finally saw one in the wild, a Brooklyn Grey G82 Comp. Midday, full sun, looked beaten end to end with an ugly stick. Agree, nice wheels & brakes though.

Saw a Senna same day. So the count from South Florida is G8X:1, Senna:1.

Selling like hotcakes down here. Design is clearly a home run.

The 5 cylinder is great but it's also very muted looking at the previous models ever since OPF came about. Thing is I've never been much of a Audi person although there is no denying that they are good cars.

All wheel drive is a bit of a give and take as rear wheel is the shit.

From what people are saying the GTS steering and differential coding combined with CS EDC makes the M4 feel different and new again so maybe I should go down that road and maybe tune the GTS power on it for 50hp and 50nm extra while at it.

Still got the GTS OLED style rear lights on order too

New car is always fun and I've been craving a new car for no reason really, I love everything about the M4 and it's never given me any major trouble yet.
It's fun to drive and stays planted on twisty roads and you can let her rip if you elect to do so at any time.

It's not a bad daily either and it looks fantastic.

So in the end I'm not really sure why I keep looking for a new car, I've been at it for a while now and every time I find a reason not to :

If the A45S had the V6 at the very least I'd probably get it just for the hell of it but going to a 4 banger is a tough pill to swallow.

I think you just need to become a bit more content with what you've got. Figure out likes, dislikes, what you've not done to/with the car and just enjoy it and make some new memories with it. Only then, after you think you've completed it all, get into something else. As with anything, the grass is always greener on the other side.

But that's how I roll anyway... we get attached to the cars pretty heavily so end up owning them for a very long time. The record holder is the E91 at nine years. I'd buy it back if it had a different engine.

And yeah, I've had the GTS coding done. It's good.

Hey guys, Cammisa's review on the G8x is out. Really enjoyable as I watch it. Goes into all the generations of M.

Enjoy!

"The G80 combines the livability of the M5 with all the things the M3 should be."

"On track, without question, this is the best M3 ever made."

Very good overview - covers the pros and cons well.

Yeah you're probably right on that.

So much to love about this car and like I said I really have no reason to get rid of it

Who did you get to do the GTS coding and are you running stock power with it?

This seems to be the sentiment across the reviews.

I know right, my dream garage would include both an E30 M3 and W201 2.3-16 (especially Evo versions), both awesome cars and pure Motorsport driven.

Yep. The guy doing my car coating and such got an E30, pristine in red.

I liked the whole history bit, wish it didn't just skip every other generation tho but it was good until that thing showed up

Just the diff and MDM. kubax86, pretty sound lad except that he's ghosted me twice by now after asking him if we could re-code the EPS from the "repair" settings (car pulls slightly to the right and BMW issued a coding setting to compensate for it) to one of the other coding setting like GTS or CS. So I'mma go with someone else to get it done. Could also DIY it, but I don't have the time.

Stock 2016 non-Comp so it's got the rowdy engine map with gobs of torque down low.

Mmm okay.

I'm about to get the whole package from Alex at Alpine, GTS steering, diff and CS EDC which hopefully works well with the MPHAS and figured might as well throw in the Performance DCT whatever it does
Aaaand the GTS power output I guess, hmm.

I looked at Thor a while back for coding but 250 euros or whatever seemed a bit expensive just for some GTS bits.

Cammisa did a pod last week and discussed the M3 episode in it. Both old cars were broken during filming, throttle cable and ABS

There's loads threads on the CS EDC if you haven't seen them already.

Lmk how it goes with him, I was thinking of contacting him actually. I'm 6MT and non-EDC so need just the EPS now to sort out.

You could do a full CS suspension retrofit on your car to take full advantage of the EDC coding. Racer20 did a breakdown of parts needed. I think it's not that super involved to do apart from the rear anti-roll bar

I've been in contact over email with him but the checkout for purchase is apparently wanting to ship me something from the US so I just email him to ask what it is.

If it's a OBD to ENET cable I don't need it

Only heard good things about his work, but I'll let you know whatever happens!

I'm sure it's just the cable.

I know the Polish lad then sent me a link for some coding apps n shit to download beforehand so that he could perform the actual coding.

Yeah I figured I'd get told to download something and let him remote pilot it.

He is usually very quick to respond to email but I'm not in a hurry either way.
Just want to make my M the best M it can be while maintaining some OEM comfort and power levels.
