Vorsteiner diffuser bracket fitment. Wrong bracket?

Hey y'all, bought a new vorsteiner GTS-V diffuser for my f80 recently. Tried installing it today and ran into a hiccup. The bracket that attaches to the back the fins of the diffuser doesn't seem to match up once I mount the bracket to the car first.

Do u guys think I got the bracket for GTS instead of GTS-V? Or maybe I am just dumb and don't know how to install this correctly lol

I think they are all like that. When I installed mine, that part took me more time then the entire rest of the install. Serious PITA!

put some pressure and get the bolt to catch a few threads... then you should be fine.
