I am currently running the MP V2 steering wheel and looking for something different. Suggestions on best places to find an alternative? Note that I am not looking for a different MP offering.

Depends what exactly you're looking for that all the BMW steering wheels don't offer?

I like my round V1 as well as the CS steering wheel

Something more customizable. No alcantara. Fine leather or a combination of quality leather & another material. Flat bottom. Something similar to the AMG wheels minus alcantara.

If you're on Instagram, your best bet is to scroll through them M3/M4 owners' pages and if you see a custom steering wheel in their pics, ask where they've got it from. There's loads that run them, I think.

Thank you, Mike - I assume they are made after the order is placed. What is the typical lead time? Will the fractured supply chain negatively impact timing?

We offer boxed setups and fully custom ones.

the boxed setups are the most popular, we have them ready to ship.

Custom setups are made to order and take 2 weeks on average. We are not affected by the supply chain issues as all our steering wheels are made in the US

Could also consider recovering your bmwp one? For me, noone of the aftermarket companies quite got the perfect shape of the v2 but I didnt want the alcantara or blue stripe, so I sent a worn used one to royal wheels in the UK and got smooth nappa leather all round and a silver centre stripe to match my seats. Couldnt be happier and its worn really well after a year.
Depending where youre based im sure there are local companies that do it too.
