Pretty much the same ole ole: when indoors with people whose vaccination status I don't know.
Delta is interesting in that the exposure time to infection seems to have dropped from ~15 min to ~5min ... also vaccine efficacy seems to drop ~10-20% after 2 months and ~40-50% after 6 months - that's to be infected, though illness severity prevention still seems to be holding up. Basically I wash my cuts, get my shots, and use bandaids to prevent infection - the mask ain't any different to me: humans have big brains so we can invent tools to kill predators. Mask+vax = tools to stab & kill predator. Here's a fun related hobby I've been enjoying with mask/covid-deniers: • "hey so that covid, that's a china virus right??" • "yur damn right! that there's a china virus!" • "so ya think china created this virus?" • "yur damn right china built it! china and fauci!" • "so china & fauci engineered covid to infect us all?" • "gawddammed raght!" • "so have you been vaccinated yet?" • "them vax is witches brew!" • "So you're not going to get vaccinated against a virus china & fauci created to infect you??" • "buh...gah... buh gates ...chips ...fauci ..." |

I have always worn my mask.
What I have learned during this pandemic is, there are a LOT of stupid Americans in the States and I don't trust anyone of them.

I'd love to see you hit those idiots with that line of questioning, the ones I see wandering around in outright defiance thinking that they're standing for their freedom of rights.
Its one thing standing up for your freedom and you bear the cost but its another when what you're doing could hurt someone else seriously. Went to a small vacation town south of Sacramento a month or two back and you could easily tell who was from the bay area by who was wearing masks. So many people in this desperate rush to go back to 'normal' that eschew masks. I was in Napa last month and saw the same type of behavior. I hate to split correlations across racial lines but its typically the white, republican types who flaunt their stupidity. Look, I'm aware that they are those who don't trust the vaccine, believe that there are bots in the serum who can control your mind blah blah blah, but this is borderline stupid and irresponsible. I'm one who can empathize a tragic death but to hear the stories of the people who are in the ER now; I struggle to shed a tear. Quote:

Combine them with your garden-variety corrupt mendacious fucks who don't give a shit about anything other than their bank accounts - they'll literally trade (are trading) democracy and The US Constitution for no taxes & a piece of the kleptocracy. I'm just brainstorming here though ... |

these anti-vaxxer stories are just crazy, like literally:
Guy essentially caused his wife to have a stroke & will maybe die and/or be disabled for life: 9% is insane - guy wouldn't bring his wife to the hospital until her face started drooping |

Was in the hospital and finally realized it wasn't fake and urged his close friends to get vaccinated now before passing. I... still have very little sympathy for any of them but if the only way for anyone of them to learn is for that to happen then so be it.

When a dragon attacks the village and starts killing people you grab a sword & shield and you fight it - mask & vax are sword & shield to kill the covid dragon and the people not taking the vax are cowards afraid to fight, that's what it comes down to. In the 60s the US put 5,000 people in prison for not wanting to fight - seems like maybe we need a population health Selective Service law here too. The math is pretty clear: If 100% of people are vaxxed, then 100% of cases will be people who are vaxxed, which means we avoided ~95% of cases and 99.99% of deaths. The US would've been New Zealand with cases in the single digits in July if those people weren't afraid to fight. |

US is a country that still teaches basic algebra in High School. When I was in Taiwan, 1st grade elementary school we were already learning basic algebra. I remember starting to learn geometry in 2nd grade before my move to the States. Math is something the US is terrible to begin with.

(1.) What price range are you looking at? Seikos vary from $100-$5k+ so it depends on where you fall in that range ... above a certain price, then (2.) Are you willing to go grey-market, i.e., Jomashop / Watchmaxx? Or do you want an AD & full warranty? (I'm assuming you got that with your GS snowflake) (3.) Do you want JDM stuff? Then you'll need to use an online importer like Seiya or Sakura I'd also add, are you sure you want a Seiko? that is, are you dead set on, say, Prospex or similar to add to your Seiko collection or are you willing to look at other brands? Example: I love Seiko design, especially Prospex divers, however some feel Seikos have a quality control issue; i.e., things like the "12" not fully aligning with the bezel markers & hour/minute hands. For some people this known Seiko "variation" is small & barely noticeable (Seiko routinely claims "within tolerances"), but for others it's a "massive quality control issue" and people will buy 5 of a certain model just to get one with the alignment that's good for them. GS doesn't have this problem because GS uses their own factory with ultra-high quality controls ... which brings us to: (4.) Are you 100% set on automatic vs Quartz? Which brings us to Casio & Citizen - for the JDM market, both of those brands have similar quality to GS, yet in quartz ... the reason for the JDM market is because most westerners have never gotten over those brands being cheap, but IMO they make some exceptional high quality stuff if you're willing to go quartz, and they do it out of dedicated Japanese factories with ultra-high quality standards: The Casio Oceanus Manta Makie - sapphire crystal, Titanium case & bracelet with Japanese Zaratu polishing, and face & bezel with traditional Kyoto lacquering, limited to 1500 world-wide, some still available last I looked at the link above. I do love Seiko, but for me, I'd go with a quartz international travel watch like the Oceanus with some beautiful Japanese craftsmanship ... but then I don't have a Seiko collection! If I was getting a Seiko, I'd be getting a prospex diver, but the quality puts me off of them at that price (I can't unsee things) ... however I wouldn't hesitate to get a Turtle, Monster, etc if I found one I loved. And, for me, anything over $1K, I'd be looking at an AD and I'd go with whomever I could cut the best deal with ... the way I usually do that is, I find the model I want then I call/email various ADs within 100 miles and give them a price 30% off (average depending on my research of the model), saying I'm willing to buy the watch today for that price (the key is I'm not lying). It doesn't take too long to find a deal that way IME. End of month & end of quarter usually gets the best deal if you can wait ... Just my 2 cents! |

Maybe Casio... That one looks neat. Hopefully not heavy I am not fond of Automatics actually mainly because a lot of them have to be adjusted every month. So... maybe quartz.
