Smile OEM CS Lip Installed on M3!

Update: I had the lip wrapped with PPF and ceramic coated a couple of months ago and took some pictures this past weekend:

Got the M3CS lip installed last week. Some photos of the install process (taken by Courtney Cutchen at Performance Technic in Fremont), and the final product.

Bumper off!

Installation of side bracket

Side bracket ready to rock.

How much was installation cost alone considering the whole bumper had to be removed?

Not yet, although I decided to get it wrapped. Working on scheduling with my ceramic coating/wrap shop to fit me in. Super paranoid driving around right now.

The shop worked with me on cost since it was the first one they installed.

Is this meant to be used with the cf splitters or can you only have one or the other?

It appears to be either or but not both however if you’re willing to hack up some splitters I’m sure you can make it work.

Looks great BTW

Wow that looks really really good! I also like the holes because I would likely try to make brake cooling ducts from them.

Self install is possible, almost went this route but got lazy. There are DIYs for removing the font bumper, and the install process is very similar to the one for the GTS lip. It is certainly much more complicated than a typical lip.

Killer shots! Love the CS lip on the M3. I'm glad I held off on the M-Performance CF parts. However I didn't realize you have to remove the front bumper to install it. Did the shop have to make any modifications (cutting, drilling, etc.) to accommodate the CS front lip?

Wow, do all front bumper splitters/lips need to have a bracket like that? Did not know that.

Looks fantastic installed.

Yes, some trimming of plastic behind the bumper is required to fit the three brackets, but nothing significant (we're talking a few mm).

Looks fantastic installed.

Most front lips/splitters attach directly to the front bumper without a need to remove the bumper, and do not use brackets. As far as I know, bumper removal is required to install the following font lips/splitters: GTS (and replica), GT4, and CS.
