BMW US invoice pricing and European Delivery invoice
Mods - US invoice and European Delivery invoice pricing calculation is an often asked question on this board. Can we post this as a Sticky for easy reference?
(Credit to the bimmerpost 3 series forum) BMW US Invoice Pricing calculation Base vehicle US Delivery MSRP (from current model year pricing sheets) multiplied by 0.93 + MACO fee $500.00 (flat rate applied to all dealers) = Base vehicle US BMW invoice price To figure the invoice price of your BMW as configured add - + Option and packages (anything you can add to the vehicle) multiplied by 0.92 + Training fee of $180.00 + Destination and handling charge - Currently $995 = Total vehicle invoice price +/- $10.00 BMW European Delivery Invoice Pricing calculation Base vehicle US MSRP (from current model year pricing sheets) multiplied by 0.95 gives you the base vehicle European Delivery MSRP price. For those wondering, BMW has reduced the (ED discount from 7% to 5% starting in 2016). Multiple the base vehicle European Delivery pricing by 0.93 + $475 fee (this started in 2016 and applies to all dealers) = Base vehicle European Delivery invoice price To figure the European Delivery invoice price of your BMW as configured add - + Option and packages (anything you can add to the vehicle) multiplied by 0.92 + Destination and handling charge - Currently $995 = Total vehicle European Delivery invoice price +/- $10.00 Last edited by noone; 08-11-2017 at 01:41 PM.. |

I dont think all dealers has MACO fee included in their price. For my dealership, they dont charge MACO fee in US invoice. Both MACO and training fee should not be included in ED invoice.

You made a change to the euro invoice that is incorrect. Euro MSRP is 5 percent lower just like you said, but Euro INVOICE is still multiplied by the .93 (7%) just like you had originally.
It appears to me that encanto did not fully read your original post, where you had the info you copied from the "other forum" which showed the euro MSRP being 5 percent lower then calculated as above. (your original post was correct in this regard). Also, for a bit more full disclosure, the $475 that was in that post was debated heavily on the "other forum" that you got this from when it was first listed. Ninong (a prolific poster who was a retired BMW dealership GM among other things), had worked with the owners of the other forum to work out the changes to euro invoice. At the time, they said there was no specific charge for 475 on the invoices, but in order to make the math work out that amount needed to be added on there. Since I have never done Euro delivery (and kind of dont intend to at present time), I never dug into that too much. People who have current deals for Euro delivery can check their invoice pricing against the formula and tell you how accurate it is. |

Original post has been corrected and reworded again above, but I would still like feedback on any additional fees that may not be listed above. |

I checked the invoice pricing from the wholesale guide to what you have and you are generally right. Off by a few dollars/percent. For example DCT and Comp is technically 92% off of MSRP of the option while colors are 91.8%, carplay is 91.6%, and extended leather is 92.1%.
Lastly, for ED. The ED invoice is 93.7% of what the MSRP for ED delivery is which is exactly 95% of US MSRP. So while you are generally right, those percentages you quote are not gospel but obviously very close ballpark figures. Regardless, I always recommend you ask your CA to show you the invoice guide, if they refuse to, move on to another dealer. That is personally a deal breaker for me.

It was reported by BMWNA that ED invoice was also reduced by 5% back in the days of Ninong (RIP). It is still .93 + $475.
Stand corrected. Quote:

I just wrapped up an ED last month and confirmed my calculated invoice price was correct with 2 separate dealers. The $475 is built in to the base ED invoice cost, so the correct calculation there should be ED MSRP * 0.93 + $475.

Here is a link to one of our colleague's wholesale Vehicle Inquiry Report (VIR).
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...5&d=1497675222 It shows that for a 2018 M3, the base MSRP is 65,500 and the the wholesale price is 61,415. In this case, the wholesale is MSRP x .93 + 500. The wholesale VIR that my CA gave me (NorCal) for my 2018 M3 order shows the exact same numbers. One of the bidders during my shopping emailed me a VIR from SoCal. His numbers were exactly the same. I can't claim that the $500 is US wide or regional. Nor can I claim that this $500 has anything to do with MACO. However, it seems as if the wholesale base formula is MSRP x .93 + 500. A friend of mine bought a 2017 M240 off-the-lot for $100 under invoice. Adding a + 500 clause to your (latest) invoice formula got me to his exact sales price. |

I don't think bimmerpost fears getting sued, but content was copied verbatim from the other site (*immerfest, where *=b).

So generally speaking, 7-8% off sticker price is invoice??
Sticker vs Invoice Prices (using 7%) $80K = $74.4K $75K = $69.8K $70K = $65.1K $65K = $60.5K (bare bone stock vehicle) In theory if you're within $1-2K of invoice for an MY18 you did pretty well? |

I believe those invoice prices (like m performance parts) are subject to different invoice percentages. The wholesale guide for the M3 and M4 do not list invoice prices for those two.

I could use some help validation my maths... Been corresponding with an SA from a local dealership here in Dallas and he gave me an initial quote for an ED delivery. They claim they have an allocation, but I'd like to lock in a price before going forward with the order.
This is where I could use the collective help to make sure I'm doing my estimations right. My model captured below. A few specific questions - Are my US/ED invoices calculated correctly? - Is the SA quote high?

Go back to that formula above, it's been acknowledged by many sponsors to be accurate.
The best I could get when 2018 MY start production last summer was $1750 off the ED MSRP, right now with limited allocation you'd be lucky to get ED MSRP from dealer with allocation. Also make sure you can do Tanzanite blue and still make the deadline. |

"Unfortunately, Euro Delivery price is set price and there is no incentives available for that program. Would you like to take some options or packaged off to get to where you wanted to be?" That doesn't quite align to what I've read through the forum... or am I misunderstanding?
