So mine has been in for two days now and they have completed the following:

1. Clean the brakes (again) and replaced the pads.....(made no difference)
2. Replaced the nearside shock (made no difference)
3. Messed around with some bolts to do with the exhaust they said were hitting bumper.

Again no difference. Now they have no idea and are keeping it....

They had no cars available so set me up with a 320d from Enterprise, gods know what happens next.

Ah right I thought the shock had done it.

Maybe worth looking into these bolts on the exhaust knocking the bumper. I'd have thought they were just feeding me duff information. But I could keep logging into the dash cam to see what was happening with the car. It was in and out of the workshop and up and down the ramps at lot of times so they must have been doing something.

I've had the same so will be following this thread closely. My car has been in twice to investigate and on both accounts I've been told that nothing can be heard. I even had a tech out with me to diagnose what I was hearing however he couldn't hear it when I could. Also the same situation as dopper as I've had the rattle since collection day.

Also, after 5k miles and 7 months the two front doors have started to rattle too. Pretty consistent aswell. Honestly it's doing my head in so much that if an offer to change was on the table I'd maybe take it which is a shame. My old man has a F10 M5 and an M2 and they don't suffer from any rattles whatsoever

Mine now has someone coming from BMW uk to look at it. The knocking was worse today which is what happened before the shock, was not as bad and got worse by the time it went in.

Being put in an M3 until it's fixed, been very impressed with BMW and the dealer. Going out of their way to fix my issues.

I know how you feel regarding the rattles, it's not acceptable for such an expensive car.

I have told them I font want it back until all creaks and rattles are fixed.

Why are you paying for a car? The dealer should give you a loan car..

Happy to ask my dealer to contact yours once they know the issue

Yeah that would be good if they work something out.

They said they have no cars available, i'm sure it makes a massive difference to how they treat you depending on whether you purchased the car from them.

I'm not paying for it but they take a payment incase you get any fines, etc whilst you have the car..

I take it that was Coopers Scott? We went there on Saturday after driving that 335d (from another dealership) as the missus wanted to look at an X1. Bloody big place with cars over 3 floors!!!!! Sales guy said it was the largest dealership in the UK.

Left and right suspension arms changed today.... still the same. Going to be a different car by the time they have finished.

They were talking about giving me the car back until someone else can look at it. Do you think I'd be right to refuse it back because they have no reason deal what is wrong with it?

So BMW made the dealership put a set of 20s back on the car do another alignment and then check the.... guess what still the same.

Will be calling BMW UK tomorrow and tell them to stop pissing around and get on with it. No fault on the dealership side really they are doing as told. But to me they are just trying everything instead of sending someone to look at it.

If anything the 20" will make it worse..

Did changing the shock make it any better at all??

So far:

1. First visit stripped and rebuilt brakes
2. Second visit replaced rear pads and rebuilt brakes.
3. Shocks Replaced
4. Some bolt/bracket on exhaust messed with.
5. Alignment with 18s on.
6. Suspension arms replaced.
7. Alignment done with 20s on.
8. 18s put back on.

Have probably missed something else but am starting to loose track.
