What is this double chime sound?

While driving, I randomly hear a low volume short double chime from the speakers I think it's from the iDrive system, has anyone heard this or know what it is?

Usually it is to warn you of something and is usually accompanied by a message on the iDrive and/or the instrument cluster that specifies what the warning is about.

The volume of the chime can be adjusted via iDrive in the Settings menu.

Oh no it's not that triple ding that comes with the advanced collision warning. It's like a very small kind of mosquito sound

I think it's from my Galaxy S8 not from the car as I just heard it also when I stepped out of the car from my phone

Your chime is a D or E note. It means it is a kind of chime from the instrument cluster. It can be a double D note or a single E note.
