Question re: ConnectedDrive Services

Quick question regarding ConnectedDrive services which mine are expiring in a few months. I want to keep the automatic map updates, real time traffic, etc., however when I go to the Shop BMW ConnectedDrive only the 'Connected Package' shows up for $50/12months and the description doesn't seem to include traffic/maps.

Will these show up close to expiration date or after and then I can resubscribe via store? I don't see anywhere where I can purchase the subscription for these.

You will be able to purchase everything (Connected Package Plus) for $150 plus tax for one year a month before it expires.

Where? Mine expires in 2 days and I don’t see such a package offered.

Well, BMW Connected Drive claims you cannot purchase the individual features until they expire. They claim they cannot renew those features in advance because the system will automatically start the new 12 month subscription from the day you renew. So if you renewed 1 month prior to expiration, you would lose that month. Comical the software is so poorly written, but as we’ve all seen examples Connected Drive software issues over the years, that’s their excuse and I am 100% not surprised.

So ConnectedDrive Plus renewal option didn’t appear once the previous subscription expired. I was able to renew it after a couple of emails. I now need to update the car via iDrive and delete / reinstall the app. Not that big of a deal, I guess, but you'd think they could make it a little easier.

Realized I had a typo in my post. The renewal option never changed online even once expired. But I was able to renew with a few emails.
