Exclamation Help with Signature SV104 tire choices

I have a set of Signature SV104 coming in a few weeks in 19x9.5 ET20 / 19x11 ET40. The tire sizes recommended to me were 265/35/19 and 295/35/19. Was planning to go with RE71R but they don't come in 295/35/19 apparently. My second preferred tire PS4S also doesn't come in generic 295/35/19. Any other good sticky tires at this size? Or should I drop down to 30 aspect ratio front and rear and go with 305 width at the rear? Does doing that mess with DSC/speedometer much? Mix tire brands maybe?

I’m running 265/35/19 and 305/30/19 RE71R’s on the same exact wheels. I haven’t had one issue with the DSC acting up and the fitment is spot on.

Yes I’m on KW V3’s. This is how I’m sitting with no problems.

Great looking car...Do you find any issues with understeer with 40 mm more out back than the front?

I'm kind of in the same boat. Options with the 265/35/19 up front are run the 285/35/19 (which may be really stretched on your 11"), 295/35/19 that has a narrower contact patch than the 285 in PS4S, run a 295/30/19 out back with possibility of DSC kicking in too much (not sure how much of a problem this would really be unless you're tracking with DSC or MDM on), or drop the front and back to 30 profile....with same sidewall heights as running 20" rims and likely same ride harshness as 20" rims...negating one of the benefits of using a 19" rim...although that setup would be the lightest of the bunch (30 profiles on 19s).

So you could go to 20" rims and run 265/30/20 & 295/30/20....another option is kick the rear rims up to a 20" diameter and run 295/30/20 which will maintain a 0.7 inch diameter bias being larger in the rear compared to 265/35/19 up front...but that then gets maybe overly complicated.

Looking at Bridgestone and Continental you're (we're) in the same boat with all manufacturers in 19 inch rims.

Another option is put on the "old" MPSS in 265/295/35 and it will give you 0.5 inches of increased contact patch front and rear and maintain proper front to rear diameter "bias"....but won't be the "newest" tech like the MP4S...

But with your 11" rims out back running a 305 is really tempting and that will make up the diameter bias problem.

Hope that helps, although no answers given! I guess in the end, beauty really is pain!

Also for more insanity on this topic here is complete OCD embodied in an excel spreadsheet - MPSS vs MP4S specs on 437M, 666M, and FI-Rs...right columns are just differences in width, diameter, sidewall height and total weight all 4 corners rim and tires without weights or TPMS...I hope it helps everyone feel better about themselves in the OCD department!

Thank you...I drive her pretty aggressively and find the steering to be neutral with these sizes and haven’t experienced any noticeable understeer.

Anyone else have 265/35/19 and 305/30/19 and have any problems with DSC? How far off is the speedometer accuracy?

For the rear tires, how would Continental ExtremeContact Sport in 295/35/19 compare with Potenza RE71R in 305/30/19 regarding traction? FBO with stage 2 tune.

I'm running the same wheels at 19x9.5 ET 18 and 19x11 ET 37 with Michelin PSS at 265 and 295 respectively. I'm running H&R springs. Fitment is perfect.

Fronts need replacing real soon. Thoughts on going 275/30/19 on the fronts instead of 265/35/19? Rears are 305/30/19.

Also, has Michelin released non-mercedes-spec generic 295/35/19 PS4S yet?

Based on the drop I’d say they’re H&R super sport.
