So a bootmod3 new license cost 595 and it is transferable only once by the company. In theory it is worth 297.5 per person. Am I missing something here?

Personally, I think it's worth every penny of the $400 asking price. That's what they all go for from what I've seen on here. |

My point was, there's absolutely no validity to the argument for cutting the price in half if only 2 users can use a license. The license will sell for whatever someone is willing to sell or pay in the used market. Even if you can get a brand new license for $500 (I don't know if you even can), this license is still cheaper at $400, just with no transfer. Nobody is stopping anyone from buying new for $600 and selling it for $300 later. Supply and demand sets used market prices, not theoretical math. If the seller decides to sell for $300, then that's their choice. But saying $300 is what the price should be based on price/user means nothing in the real world. If it was, then I'd be driving a MkIV Supra for 5 grand based on depreciation, number of owners, and the car's age haha. |

$300 is a fair price- Both parties pay $300 each at the end of the day (unless the initial buyer paid more/less) It's really that simple, and makes sense- and I've seen multiple FS here for $300. $400 is fine if someone is willing to pay it, but I wouldn't personally...each their own. |

Totally understand where you're coming from, and I don't necessarily disagree with you. Just wanted to emphasize that there's a difference between a purchaser's perceived value of something for sale vs someone dictating what someone else's price should be based on primitive math because they think it's fair. All I'm saying is that's a BS argument. Anyone can offer any price for anything, let the market speak for itself. If the buyer or seller don't like the price, the sale won't happen. There's no fairness involved, just economics and the market at work At the very least, this is a bunch of free bumps for the seller, looks like there won't be a problem selling for asking price based on the other posts. Best of luck OP! |

Second user owns it and can theoretically recoup value when selling car with bootmod 3 installed. As long as new car owner has login and password, really doesn’t matter who’s “name” it’s in. So yes, you are missing something. |
