Driver front wheel up to 10F hotter than others?
noticed this on warm days when pushing it a bit.. is there an intercooler there or something that heats that wheel more?

I don't wanna bring up old shit, and I'm familiar with the drivers side wheel being warmer, but I was making a few runs at the strip today and my front tire was 20° hotter. Obviously I was accelerating hard, and driving fast, but 20°??
Is that right?

The passenger side also has a similar radiator but that's for the charge air cooler which runs significantly cooler compared to the driver side radiator.

Nah that isn't it because my f30 and my f32 did NOT do that. Not at all.

Every single car from my F82 to my Z06 to my R8 does this and it's completely normal. Weight transfer during braking will always bias front left. 10F is nothing. |

You gotta give kudos to Poiseuille for that thermograph pic. It clearly shows how the dual cooling systems (radiators and intercoolers) were engineered. The glowing driver wheel radiator is clearly the main heat sink coming off the engine thermostat, it's job to make sure the center radiator isn't too hot (because the center AWIC goes right in front of it). You can see in the picture the darker AWIC in front of the bright center radiator, and then the passenger wheel AWIC is even darker/cooler before its coolant goes up to the TMIC.
