Typically yes, but not always. It was happening in DSC off mode, too, so I know it wasn't MDM. Short answer is that if you exceed the front tire's traction circle before the rear's you will get understeer. It's possible to do if you have the car loaded up under heavy braking then add the steering (vs having the car loaded up under heavy cornering then adding brake)

True. Over shot even with brakes applied.

Car: 2015 F80 M3 6MT
Track: Buttonwillow 13CW
Best Lap Time: 02:06.122 (Speed District Event 1/23/16)
Tires: Stock Michelin PSS
Brakes: Stock with Castrol SRF Brake Fluid
Other relevant mods: Euro MDM, ER Catless downpipes

Unfortunately it was raining hard for the first half of the day so I had to leave full traction control on and not push the car. Only got one session with euro mdm, some confidence, and a dry track. Was my third hpde ever. The car has a lot more in it. My driving could definitely improve as well. I think next time I'll hopefully be able to reduce my time a couple of seconds and maybe I'll give traction completely off a try.

Don't think I'll be able to make that one, I have Laguna Seca, Sonoma, and possibly Chuckwalla scheduled

Try to make it I think I may give March district event a chance. Never had a real chance to pb since traffic and chuckwalla is a bit far but I'm preaching to the choir when you are driving from up north LOL

Problem is the Speed District Buttonwillow event in March is the 26th, and SpeedSF is doing Laguna Seca 26/27. roastbeef and surewin are going to be there, I believe.

Update on best lap time at 13CW Buttonwillow..

Car: 2015 F80 M3 6MT
Track: Buttonwillow 13CW
Best Lap Time: 02:04.455 (Speed District Event 2/21/16)
Tires: Hankook RS3 new in front used in rear 265/35 and 285/35
Brakes: Stock with Castrol SRF Brake Fluid
Other relevant mods: Euro MDM, ER Catless downpipes

4th time at 13CW buttonwillow, 5th HPDE ever... oem brake pads started to show serious fade as they are getting thinner (5 events on them) and my driving is improving (still a noob), tires also were much harder on the brakes. Going to do one more event on oem pads and hoping for a 2:02/2:03. Car took a beating this event as a 991 gt3 on cold tires (warm up lap) spun and kicked up rocks all over my car cracking my windshield along with some nice rock chips on the hood/bumper of my car.

Nice! Feel ya about the cracked windshield - I had an FRS do that to me and it sucks.

Thanks! I'm hoping that the windshield can be repaired but I'm thinking it will have to be replaced because the crack is on the rain sensor.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to keep up with your 2:00!
I'd love to come along for a ride with you next time we're both at buttonwillow to see if I can learn anything to shave off some time if thats okay with you.

How big is the crack? I got 2 new ones in the last three weeks. If you have hud it'll be pricey.

I don't have HUD thankfully. The crack is shaped like a squared off U, kind of like this: |_| with a bit of a shallow chip at the top. I'd say the crack is about ~12-14 inches long if I were to measure it as one straight line. How much did those replacements run cost you?

My first one was $700 or so, because I insisted on OEM glass - went through insurance on this one, as it happened on the road. Insurance paid like $150 of that.

Second one was $330 - non-OEM.

Sure thing! My last time out I didn't do as well as I did in January - 2:02 lap vs 2:00. I had a service engine soon light because my Engine Coolant Temperature crapped out on me the day before. It seems to have made a difference, because I wasn't getting near the acceleration I was getting before.

2:00.32 lap from January:

2:02.06 lap from last weekend:

Don't think I will replace with OEM glass because my lease goes for another ~2 years and it sounds like this happens quite often at the track. Good to know that non-oem replacement won't be too big of a set back. Thanks

I had a non oem for $200 then did Safelite since there's one in Pasadena for $345. Had to tell them to redo it because the molds weren't flush (Safelite). The $200 did it pretty quick and a decent job. I can shoot you his number if you want a cheap replacement for the time being.

Unfortunately this setup won't work with the F8X as you can see. I will need to find something that works too when I decide to order my F82.
