oil servise

Hey guys, i'm new to bimmerpost.

Have f82 lci for 3,5 years. During warranty period i used genuine bmw 0w30 oil, last post warranty season i ran on redline 5w30. 3000km and 14 month passed, time to change oil. it's very hard decision what to get. Redline in my country costs 2 times more than genuine 5w30 (only this viscosity in stock) 38vs18$. I doubt if it worth it.
What oil to get? genuine or aftermarket? not use my car on track.
I watched video that guy from kies motorsports used liqui molly 5w-30/40 special tec b fe but we have in stock only 5w-30 special tec ll which also has ll-01

mobil 1 0w40 doesn't have ll-01

any suggestion?

With its latest formulation, Mobil 1 FS 0W40 received LL01 and API SP but I would buy whatever LL01 is easy to obtain and avoid Redline. Don't get me wrong as Redline makes decent stuff but doubt its worth double.

Unless you track your car frequently you should stick with BMW oil.

Concur with this. Nothing wrong with BMW LL01FE 0W30 specced for this car. Makes more sense if you are only using it for normal daily driving.

I’d just run the BMW genuine. I do and I track my car frequently. It’s designed and tested for it track use on these vehicles. Or anything that is LL-01 FE with SP formulation if that is available in your country.
