Stop it ! Need some brakes...

2015 M4, steel brakes. Getting a constant sound, like a rock is between the dust shield and rotor.
Removed the wheels, flicked the shields etc, hosed them out with high pressure water. Sound has for the most part silenced, but brakes are in need of doing anyways.

Did some searching, didn't really find any recommendations for aftermarket? Is OEM just the one to use? $3k for rotors / pads / wheel sensors and bolt kits up here in Canada (BC).
Would have thought something aftermarket was available as an affordable option?

Only street driven, and only in nice sunny weather. Mix of town / highway driving.

Fcp euro is your friend. And if you have a US po box to ship to, it becomes even cheaper. I wouldnt bother with OEM pads tho. If youre just street driving it, you should get some akebono ceramics to keep dust down and cost low. For rotors, you can buy VNE or zimmermann. A little cheaper than OEM but theyre the manufacturers for bmw anyways so the quality is the same. All of these are available at fcp euro

I had a pretty terrible experience with Akebono. Terrible bite, much worse than OEM. I don’t think Akebonos belong on an M car, but that’s just my opinion.

I went with EBC and never looked back. Bites just as hard, if not harder than stock and it’s nice and quiet. You’ll have to deal with some dust but it’s easy enough to clean off. I’d get the Red or Yellow stuff if it were street only. I run Blue stuff on the street and it’s pretty dusty.
