Its funny my #1 target used to be the grill but now the top of the front bumper and the hood indentions just kill it for me.

Full disclosure I went and drove a G80 last week before buying my old man Lexus. Car drove great but I need a car I can look back at as I walk away and not think "what the hell were they thinking".

Literally just now walked past a 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport. I refuse to call it a BMW because I legit thought that if they swapped the badges for a Kia and call it Ioniq hybrid, it would totally be a Kia. That shit ain't look like a BMW at all.

It drives worse than it looks, I got one as a loaner when I took my father's E60 in for service. One look and he said "you can drive that little Corolla, I have zero interest in modern BMW's." Constant understeer in any corner (even when not pushed hard), annoying throttle delay, numb and synthetic steering, cramped and rubbery interior with an awkwardly high driving position. Its only redeeming feature is the B48. I honestly preferred the 320i loaners, they were slow but fun to beat on at least since they were rear drive based.

While I also dislike the A3 and CLA/A-Class, they at least have a family resemblance to their more expensive siblings. The Mazda3 Turbo is more convincing as an entry-level sporty luxury sedan in my opinion.

I'm not surprised. My parents have recently had the FWD 1 Series as a rental and they much preferred the A3 Sedan they had last year on holidays. Both were loaded sport pack diesels with auto box.

This is even the first or second 2er GC I've seen this year; people grabbed some of the FWD disgrace when they were doing pretty cheap lease deals on the 128ti and M135i models last summer, but the A3 and A-Class are outselling the 1 & 2 Series by a big margin in the UK. A-class is the 4th best-selling car this year in the UK, even the 3 Series is nr. 10.
Germany, more or less the same, 1 Series way below the A3 and on the same level as the A-class. Obviously, this is all supply-dependent this year, but still... Pretty bad. G20s seem to be flying out the door, though.

Looks amazing, which really, I usually want the chrome removed immediately.

It's part of why Bronze/Copper rims have started to grow on me so much I'm looking at buying some, because they make pearlescent colors pop a lot more than usual black/chrome/gray finishes.

Did not think of that lol. Yeah. Though it's easy to clean the face of the calipers, it's the sides that get dirty and unwashed if you can't stick a brush in between the brakes and the wheels.

Well, if you want red, you can get them from BMW. I believe they had the same calipers as an M Performance BBK in red, yellow and orange for the F30.
