Exclamation Washer fluid level low. Need electrical diagram.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Washed fluid level low error is persistent and will not go away.

I've done the following:
1) Changed the reservoir and rubbers associated with reservoir (sensor is new as the tank includes sensor).
2) Used only BMW Washer fluid at appropriate concentrations with distilled water.
3) Used only BMW Washer fluid at appropriate concentrations with tap water. Just to try, drained it after it failed. I prefer distilled.

Now what do I do? I think I need electrical diagram to diagnosis further.
Help.

Thanks,
HH

Wiring diagram, functional description, and FEM pinout for the appropriate connector attached. FEM is A173. Level sensor is B17a. Start with a continuity test between both ends of the signal wire. Inspect the connector and level sensor for bent or loose pins. If that checks out, verify the ground connection.

I couldn't find any more info on the square wave, specifically the frequency but any o-scope should be able to find out, but by that point you are probably looking at needing a new FEM.

Good luck.

Fixed the problem, no need for electrical.
I needed tap water, NOT distilled water.

This is the way to fix Washer Fluid Level Low light on my car (2015 F82 M4).
Proceed to next step if this previous step didn't work.
Please do not use distilled water and problems may resolve step 1.

1. Add tap water + BMW Concentrate.
2. Use up all the fluid. Refill.
3. Drain and Check connections/electronics, replace sensor/reservoir. Refill.
