Seems to be a common problem. I had it too. Same place - left rear. BMW fixed under warranty. Tabs had to be changed.

Lmao. Although the panel in this thread is exactly the same on metal roofs IIRC.

Just picked mine up and had to take it in for that after having it for 2 weeks. The glue melts and then it starts to come up. Mine was fixed in 20 minutes under warranty.

This happened to me while on ED last month. How much more "permanent" is the dealership fix?
The reason I ask is once mine arrives at dealer I am bringing it to get a full PPI wrap. Should I wait till after wrap to have dealer fix it? Thanks!

Had this on right rear corner of the roof - black plastic trim strip was loose. Looking into that, it appears there are some plastic clips that adhere to the carbon roof panel every 6" or so, and the rearmost clip had come loose from the OEM adhesive on the CF panel. I used a small screwdriver to pop the clip out of the trim piece and some goo-gone to remove the OEM adhesive residue from the clip and the panel. l then used an x-acto knife to cut a piece of 3M double-sided tape to match the rectangular area on the bottom of the clip and attached it, then positioned it on the CF panel (there are small raised "bumps" where these are supposed to adhere). Pressed it down hard and then pushed the strip down to allow the clip to grab it, and it's good to go again. Probably took 15 minutes at most.

I'd just fix it myself with some 3m adhesive like some previous people posted. Most dealers don't care about your car as much as you do so they'll do a half ass job that looks good on the outside.

Tell us how you really feel, lol. Only issue I've had with my car in two years.
