Best way to mount a phone in an M3?

Tried to do a search and got just random threads. Does anyone have a good solution? Tried Proclip but their solution isn't that great for the F3X/8X. Kuda mount is ok, but just kinda too bulky looking. Any ideas?

I don't find the Kuda mount to be bulky at all, I'm really happy with it.

I have a quad lock for my iPhone which I use on my road bike and just got the car mount for it. It is a suction cup type to either fit on the screen or an adhesive pad to stick to the dash (no thanks!) I have today stuck it to the screen so the phone sits to the far side of the I drive screen angled to face the driving position. You can still plug into the armrest usb from here. It's a really solid attachment but depends if you are happy taking up a little viewing space through the windscreen. That's the only drawback. However all it obscures is a bit of the bonnet. Not the view of the road itself.

Search for 'phone mount' and you will find some great threads. One of the best is a four pager with tons o pics. I've been subscribed to that one for awhile.

Thats the first thing I did and I got a ton of random threads. Maybe the search function is broken today. Do you mind posting the link?

Thanks!

You're right. Doesn't look as bad as the stock photo they post on the site. Maybe it was the angle or is there an updated version?

The one EAL posted is the one you want. It's the four pager.

Sorry I would have posted it but I don't know how from my phone.

I just checked their site, yes it's just an unflattering angle from their photo. It's like they held the camera just outside the door halfway up the seat height. It doesn't look anywhere near that bad. It's not that bulky and is shaped to fit the hockey stick thingy pretty closely.

Is it a magnetic mount? Or can I combine it with say a proclip base? Which one are you using?

I'm using the Scosche Magnetic Flush MagicMount, it's just a magnetic sticker base attached to the Kudo mount, then I slip the thin magnet between my iPhone & case.

Thanks man! I think this is the base mounting system I would like best (super clean!).

Iotte magnet is the best

It's more of a clip vs a mount so it doesn't damage the air vents

If u need to use the phone u just take it off easily

mag mount

This thing is just awesome for iphone 6s plus or regular 6, it is strong and inconspicuous, AND... only $7.99 at amazon.

Yeah it's definitely the cleanest looking solution I've found so far. It doesn't cover an air vent, it doesn't block the windshield, it doesn't use up the CD slot or a cup holder and it doesn't require any modifications to the interior. I think the term the kids use is "hella flush".

Eventually I'm going to route the lightning cable so it's more hidden. My plan is to get a USB extension cable so I have more slack, then run the cable from the armrest, under the trim, then modify the Kuda at the bottom and feed the end of the cable through there. I could even take it a step further and try to mount the magnet behind the Kuda mount.

Thanks to everyone's input and suggestions (and also the links to the big thread), I decided to keep it sweet and simple (even tho the Kuda is OEM looking and very nice), I want something very minimal (read: not expensive lol) and that would stand the test of time as I like to upgrade phones frequently. This setup works surprisingly well.

Works really good for my purposes and allows plenty of room for placement/adjustment. Best part is its solid and doens't budge!
